Filed for UI last week, told funds would release in 3 days but still nothing. Anyone else experiencing delays?

I filed for unemployment benefits last week and they told me the funds would be released in three days. It's been longer than that now and I still haven't received anything. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? What should I do?

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks now. The system is so backed up, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them?

I tried calling but couldn't get through. The lines are always busy. Any tips on how to actually reach someone?

Honestly, it's like trying to win the lottery. I've heard some people have luck calling right when they open or just before closing. Good luck!

Pro tip: use an auto-dialer app. It'll keep calling until you get through. Saved me hours of frustration.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not spending hours on hold was totally worth it.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your claim status online. Sometimes there are issues they don't tell you about. 2. Make sure all your certifications are up to date. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try sending a message through their online portal. 4. Be patient. Unfortunately, delays are common right now. 5. If it's been more than 10 business days, consider contacting your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there! The system is overwhelmed but they'll get to you eventually.

This happened to me too! Turns out there was an identity verification issue. Check your online account or mail for any notices about additional info they might need.

Thanks for the tip! I'll double-check everything. How long did it take to resolve your issue?

It took about 2 weeks after I sent in the additional docs they needed. Hang in there!

Has anyone else noticed that the delays seem to be worse lately? I wonder if they're short-staffed or if there's been a surge in claims.

I heard they implemented a new system and its causing all kinds of issues. Classic government efficiency 🙄

Yeah, my friend who works there said they're swamped. Apparently, there's been a spike in claims due to some recent layoffs in the tech sector.

Protip: If you're really desperate, reach out to your local state representative. They sometimes have connections and can help speed things up.

I feel you. Have you looked into local food banks or assistance programs? They might be able to help while you wait for UI to come through.
