EDD claim shows return-to-work date but no payment received after 3 weeks. What to do?

Hey everyone, I'm in a weird situation with my unemployment claim. My claim got updated to show my return-to-work date, but I still haven't received any payment. It's been three weeks since everything was submitted. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYm24bgOxTw

Ugh, classic EDD nonsense. I swear they're always finding new ways to mess with us. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta light a fire under their butts to get anything done.

I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. It's annoying but it works sometimes.

Yeah, or try calling at weird times. I once got through at like 4:55 PM lol. They prob wanna go home but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do 🤷‍♂️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep when were already struggling 😕

I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. Plus, if it helps you get your benefits faster, it pays for itself.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down when your claim was updated, when you last received a payment, and any communication you've had with EDD. 2. Check your UI Online account for any pending certifications or notifications. 3. Try to contact EDD through multiple channels - phone, email, and even social media if you have to. 4. If you can't get through, consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 5. Be persistent but polite. Remember, the person you eventually talk to isn't personally responsible for the delay. 6. If all else fails, file an appeal. You have the right to challenge decisions about your claim. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but don't give up!

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of every call attempt, even the ones that don't get through. It shows your due diligence if things escalate.

Have you checked if there's a flag on your account? Sometimes they put a stop payment flag for various reasons and don't tell you. It's happened to me before.

How do I check for a flag? Is that something I can see in my online account?

Unfortunately, you cant see it yourself. You gotta talk to a rep to find out. Another reason why getting through on the phone is crucial.

idk if this helps but I was in a similar situation last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was causing delays for a bunch of people. Maybe check if there are any known issues right now?

Where would you even find that info? EDD's not exactly known for their transparency 🙄

True that. I usually check their Twitter or Facebook. Sometimes they post updates there before anywhere else.
