EDD Claim Denied, Appeal Filed Months Ago, No Payments Since February - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a tough spot. My unemployment claim was denied, so I filed an appeal through the mail like they told me to. It's been months now and I haven't heard anything back. The worst part is, I haven't received any payments since February. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm getting really worried about my finances.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire unemployment system. It's clearly not designed to handle crises or even normal fluctuations in the job market. We're all suffering because of outdated technology and understaffed agencies. 🤬

Need help modifying SDI claim date due to extension - can't reach anyone!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my SDI claim. I need to modify the claim date due to an extension, but I can't seem to get through to anyone on the phone. I've been trying for days and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get in touch with someone who can help?

Quick question - when did you initially file your claim? There might be a waiting period before you can request modifications.
I filed about 2 months ago. The extension just came through last week, that's why I need to modify it now.
Ah gotcha. Yeah, you should definitely be able to modify it then. Keep pushing!
PFL Benefits: Received employer payment while on leave. How to report to EDD?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I received payment from my employer while I was on Paid Family Leave Benefits. I want to make sure I report this correctly so I don't end up being overpaid. Has anyone dealt with this before? I got some notice from EDD, but it's not about this specific situation. Any advice on how to handle this?

PFL claim vanished after first payment - what to do?
Has anyone else had their PFL claim disappear from the system? I just got my first payment and when I checked my status, it's like my claim never existed. This is so frustrating! What should I do now?

Have you tried logging out and logging back in? Sometimes that fixes weird glitches in the system.
Yeah, I tried that a few times. Even cleared my browser cache. No luck 😕

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster. Worth a shot!

Just google your area + state representative. Most have a 'contact us' form on their website where you can explain your situation. They often have staff dedicated to helping with these kinds of issues.
