PFL claim vanished after first payment - what to do?
Has anyone else had their PFL claim disappear from the system? I just got my first payment and when I checked my status, it's like my claim never existed. This is so frustrating! What should I do now?

Omg, the same thing happened to me last month! I thought I was going crazy. Did you try calling them? It took me forever to get through but they said it was a 'system glitch' 🙄

•I've been trying to call all morning but no luck. How long did it take you to get through?

•Ugh, it took me like 3 days of constant calling. I swear they make it impossible on purpose 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 20 mins doing that!

This happened to my sister too. Turns out they had some kinda update that messed up a bunch of claims. Keep calling and don't give up!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I know it sucks to pay, but for me it was worth it to finally get answers

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Take screenshots of your claim history if you can still access it. 2. Keep calling the PFL office. Be persistent. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing them. Sometimes they respond faster that way. 4. Check your mail carefully. They might have sent you something about your claim status. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Don't give up! This is probably just a technical glitch, but you need to stay on top of it. Good luck!

Classic EDD move 🤡 They're probably 'upgrading' their system again and messing everything up in the process

This is why I'm scared to even apply for PFL. The whole system seems like a nightmare. Hope you get it sorted out OP!

•Don't let horror stories scare you off! PFL is a great benefit when it works right. And it usually does!

Have you tried logging out and logging back in? Sometimes that fixes weird glitches in the system.

Ugh, I feel for you. I'm in the same boat but with disability. These government systems are held together with duct tape and prayers I swear
