EDD SDI automatic payments delayed over 2 weeks - what to do?

Has anyone else not gotten their automatic payments? I was approved for payments every 14 days but its been over 2 weeks and still nothing. I checked my account online and the last message I got was just saying I was approved for automatic payments. I haven't received any notices about delays or anything. What should I do? Im getting worried cause bills are piling up

I found a way to solve delayed automatic EDD payments, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuuwyzA4aGg

Not to be that guy, but have you double-checked that you're still eligible? Sometimes changes in your situation can affect payments without you realizing it.

As far as I know, nothing's changed. But how would I check this?

Log into your UI Online account and review your claim details. Look for any changes in your benefit amount or claim status. If anything looks off, that could be your issue

Good advice! Even a small change in your employment status or income can impact your benefits.

have u tried turning it off and on again? 🤡

Classic tech support advice! 😂 If only it worked for everything!

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation and you're not alone in this. While EDD's systems and customer service can be challenging, there are multiple steps you can take. First, continuously check your UI Online account for any changes in your status, messages, or alerts. This is crucial for spotting any flags or issues that might be holding up your payment. Additionally, if phone calls to EDD are proving difficult, try reaching out through the online messaging system. Some users report faster responses this way. If you find that your attempts to contact EDD are exhausting your options, consider using services like Claimyr. While it does come with a fee, many users have found it an effective last-ditch solution when they need urgent assistance. However, it's important to weigh this cost against your current financial situation. Lastly, persistence is key. Document all your attempts to contact EDD and keep trying different avenues: calling at different times, visiting a local office, or even reaching out to your local state representative. They might be able to expedite the process. Don't lose hope, and keep pushing until you resolve the issue.

Have you tried sending a message through your UI Online account? Sometimes they respond faster that way than by phone.

I had some luck with this method too. It's worth a try!

ugh this is giving me flashbacks to last year when my payments were held up for 3 months. EDD needs to get their act together fr

0 coins

Same here. It's like a never-ending cycle of issues with them.

0 coins

Plot twist: EDD is actually run by a bunch of hamsters on wheels and they're on strike 🐹🚫

0 coins

That would explain a lot 😂 Let's hope those hamsters get back to work soon!

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a "flag" on my account that needed to be cleared. Keep trying to reach them, it's frustrating but necessary.

0 coins

What kind of flag? How did you find out about it?

0 coins

I finally got through to an agent who told me. Apparently it was some identity verification thing. Once they cleared it, my payments started coming through again

0 coins

I'm surprised they don't send out alerts for these kinds of flags. It would save everyone so much time and stress!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling EDD. Yes, it's a pain, but persistence pays off. 2. Check your UI Online account daily for any new messages or alerts. 3. Make sure all your certifications are up to date. 4. Double-check that your contact info is correct in the system. 5. If you have access to your local EDD office, try going in person. 6. Consider reaching out to your state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. 7. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try all of these

This is gold 💯 Saving this for future reference

I especially agree with reaching out to your state representative. They have access to resources that can sometimes expedite your case.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

0 coins

Totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

0 coins

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery 😤

0 coins

I get it, but when you're missing payments and bills are due, $20 is nothing compared to late fees and stress

0 coins

I've used Claimyr too and it worked for me as well. However, it's definitely a last resort since it's an added cost on top of everything else.

0 coins

Same boat here. It's been 3 weeks for me and radio silence from EDD. This system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

0 coins

I'm dealing with the same thing, it's like EDD just forgot about us. We need some answers, fast!

0 coins

Y'all ever think about how we're all just cogs in this broken machine? 🤔 EDD is just a symptom of a larger systemic problem...

0 coins

Sir, this is a Wendy's

0 coins

Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul

0 coins

It's frustrating how often systems meant to help us end up becoming more of a hindrance.

0 coins

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be proactive and get on the phone with a real person to sort this stuff out.

0 coins

I've been trying but its impossible to get through. I've called like 50 times and always get the busy signal or it hangs up on me

0 coins

Lol good luck with that. EDD phone lines are a joke. You'd have better luck winning the lottery than getting an agent on the phone 🤣

0 coins

Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59am. Sometimes you can get through that way

0 coins

I also found that calling mid-week, like Wednesday, can sometimes get you through faster than calling on Monday or Friday.

0 coins

I heard they're implementing a new system soon that's supposed to streamline everything. Might be causing some delays. Hang in there!

0 coins

A new system could definitely be the culprit. Hopefully, it'll solve more problems than it creates once it's up and running.

0 coins

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! My automatic payments stopped coming about 10 days ago with no explanation. What's really frustrating is that I can't even get a straight answer from anyone about what's causing the delay. I've been checking my UI Online account obsessively but there's nothing new there. It's like we're all just stuck in limbo waiting for EDD to figure their stuff out. Really hoping someone here has found a solution that actually works.

0 coins

I feel your pain! The lack of communication from EDD is probably the most frustrating part. Have you tried reaching out through multiple channels at once? Sometimes hitting them from different angles (phone, online messaging, even social media) can get their attention faster. Also, if you haven't already, try logging in at different times of day - sometimes the system updates overnight and you might catch new information early in the morning.
