EDD: Approved for auto-payments but no $ since November. Help!

I haven't received any unemployment payments since mid-November. I even got a notice saying I was approved for automatic payments, but still nothing has come through. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

Ugh, that sucks. I'm in the same boat. Been waiting since October and crickets from EDD. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through.

I've tried calling but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long have you been trying to reach them?

Honestly, I've lost count. Feels like I've been dialing non-stop for weeks. This system is such a joke 🤡

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold last week!

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there are hidden messages or requests for additional info that can hold up payments.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I was skeptical too, but it really did work for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 😤

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get some answers and move my claim forward.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Always certify on time, even if you're not getting paid. 2. Check your UI Online account daily for updates or requests. 3. If you get a notice of approval, save it! You might need it later. 4. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there, OP. The system is overwhelmed, but persistence usually pays off eventually.

I hate to say it, but sometimes you just gotta wait it out. My payments were held up for 3 months, then suddenly all came through at once. The backlog is real.
