EDD SDI payment shown as paid but not received in bank account - what to do?
Has anyone else not received their full payment yet? I checked the website and it shows I should have gotten paid, but the money hasn't hit my account. This is so frustrating! I've been waiting for days and I really need this money to pay my bills. Is there something wrong with the system or am I missing something? Any advice on what to do next would be really appreciated.

Anyone else feel like they're in a bad remake of Groundhog Day? Wake up, check account, no money, call EDD, get nowhere, repeat. 🔁😫

•Omg yes! It's like a never-ending nightmare. When do we get to the part where we learn a valuable lesson and everything works out? 😅

•It seems like persistence and patience are the only keys to breaking this cycle. Hopefully, others' advice here can be of some help.

I hate to be that person, but... have you checked for any outstanding overpayments or penalties? Sometimes they withhold payments if you owe them money from a previous claim. It's BS, but it happens.

Zainab Abdulrahman
•Oh man, I didn't even think of that. How would I check for something like that?

•It should show up in your online account under "Claim History" or "Notices". If you see anything about overpayments, that could be your problem.

•If you're unsure, you might consider requesting a detailed statement from the EDD that lists any such discrepancies.

Guys, I think I figured it out. The EDD is actually run by squirrels. It explains everything - the nuts system, the constant running in circles, the hoarding of our money... 🐿️💰

•It's clear the system is fundamentally flawed. Hopefully, reforms are on the horizon to address these inefficiencies.

Pro tip: if you call exactly at 8:01 AM, press 2, then 4, then hop on one foot while reciting the pledge of allegiance backwards, you might get through to a real person. Maybe. Possibly. Probably not. But worth a shot, right? 🤷♂️📞

•In all seriousness, calling at the exact time the office opens could potentially increase your chances of getting through.

Real talk tho, has anyone tried contacting their state representative? I've heard some people have had success that way. Might be worth a shot if you're really stuck.

Zainab Abdulrahman
•That's a good idea. Do you know how to find out who my rep is?
0 coins
Mei Liu
•Just google "[your state] find my representative". There should be a website where you can enter your address and it'll tell you who represents you. Good luck!

Hot take: maybe if we all Venmo request the EDD for our benefits, they'll finally pay up. Worth a shot, right? 📱💸

Have you checked your payment history on the website? Sometimes it shows as paid there but takes a few days to actually hit your bank account. Also, make sure your bank info is correct in the system.

Zainab Abdulrahman
•Yeah, I double-checked everything. My bank info is correct and the payment history shows it should have been paid out 3 days ago. Still nothing in my account tho 😞

Guys I think I cracked the code. If you say "EDD" three times in front of a mirror at midnight, a customer service rep appears and solves all your problems. Trust me, I read it on the internet so it must be true 🪞🕛👻

Not to get all conspiracy theory on y'all, but what if the reason we're not getting paid is because the government spent all our money on a secret underground bunker for when the aliens invade? 👽🕵️♂️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems like a lot just to make a phone call.

•I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. I was desperate and tried it out. Saved me hours of waiting on hold. Worth every penny imo.

It's incredibly frustrating to deal with delayed payments, especially when financial stability is on the line. There are a few steps you can take while seeking resolution. Firstly, check your payment status regularly and keep a detailed log of all interactions and attempts to resolve the issue. This documentation can be critical if you need to escalate the matter. Secondly, use all available communication channels – this includes social media platforms, as agencies might respond faster there. You can also consider reaching out to your local representatives, as they might have more direct avenues to help rectify the situation. Additionally, you might want to explore third-party services like Claimyr, which specializes in connecting people directly to live agents. Though they charge a fee, they have been praised for saving time and stress. However, always exercise caution and make sure to research thoroughly before using such services. Lastly, persistency is key; continue to follow up regularly. While these suggestions hopefully bring some relief, advocacy for systemic improvements remains essential to prevent these issues long-term.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Check your spam folder. Sometimes important emails end up there. 3. Try contacting them through social media. Sometimes they respond faster on Twitter or Facebook. 4. Reach out to your local representative. They often have contacts in the department and can help push things along. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a complaint with the Department of Labor. It's a hassle, but it can light a fire under them. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! You're entitled to that money.
