EDD Payment Delayed After Medical Verification Submission - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I submitted my medical verification two weeks ago for my unemployment claim, but I still haven't received my payment. I'm on the automatic payment plan, so this delay is really throwing me off. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm getting worried about bills piling up.

Ugh, I feel ya. The system is so slow sometimes. Have you tried calling them? That's usually the best way to get things moving.

•I've been trying to call, but it's impossible to get through. Always busy or they hang up on me 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can sneak through before the lines get jammed.

•Calling is useless tbh. I spent 3 days trying and got nowhere. There has to be a better way!

I had the same issue last month. turns out they needed additional info but never notified me. Check your online account for any pending tasks or messages. sometimes they hide em good lol

Okay, listen up. Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your online account for any pending tasks or messages. Sometimes they need extra info but don't tell you. 2. If nothing there, start calling. Yes, it sucks, but it's necessary. Call right when they open for best results. 3. If you can't get through, try contacting your local state representative. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push things along. 4. While you're waiting, gather all your documents - medical verification, ID, anything related to your claim. Have it ready to go. 5. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. Dates, times, what happened. This can be useful if you need to escalate later. 6. Check if there are any local unemployment support groups or legal aid offices. They might have resources or advice specific to your area. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but you'll get through it. Good luck!

•Great advice, but let's be real. The system is broken AF. We shouldn't have to jump through all these hoops just to get what we're owed.

•Oh, I totally agree the system is messed up. But until it changes, we gotta work with what we've got, ya know? 🤷♂️

•Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I'll give it a shot if nothing else works. Thanks!

Guys, I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to give them your personal info?

•Nah, you just put in the number you want them to call, and they do the rest. They don't ask for any sensitive info. Just your phone number to call you back when they get an agent.

Hey OP, hang in there. I know it's tough, but you're not alone in this. We're all in the same boat, trying to stay afloat. Keep pushing and don't let the system get you down. You got this! 💪
