TWC payment schedule question - filed Tuesday but need Thursday direct deposit
Just filed my payment request with TWC today (Tuesday) and I'm wondering if I'll still get paid on Thursday or Friday morning as usual? I'm really counting on that direct deposit hitting my account by the weekend because rent is due. I usually file on Sunday or Monday but had a job interview yesterday that ran late. Does filing on Tuesday delay when the money hits my account? My bills are stacking up and I can't afford any delays this month.

•Ugh that's what I was afraid of. Can't they process it faster? My landlord is already on my case.

In my experience, if you file on Tuesday, you probably won't see the payment until Friday at the earliest, possibly Monday. The TWC processing system typically runs overnight batches, and there's a standard 2-3 business day processing time before direct deposits hit your account. If you need to be certain about your payment status, I'd recommend checking your payment status on the TWC website or through Tele-Serv (800-558-8321).

•This is correct. TWC processes payment requests overnight, so Tuesday filings typically get processed Tuesday night. Then it's 2-3 business days for direct deposit, depending on your bank. I'd expect Friday or Monday at the latest, assuming there are no issues with your claim that might cause it to be held for review.

I had the EXACT same problem last month!!! Filed on Tuesday because I completely forgot on Monday (my bad) and then had to wait till MONDAY the next week for my $$$. It's SO frustrating how their system works. I called and called TWC for THREE DAYS trying to see if they could expedite it because my electricity was about to get cut off but NOBODY would pick up!!!! The system is BROKEN and they don't care about people suffering!!!!

•Sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, TWC does have set processing times that they can't typically bypass, even for urgent situations. Did you try contacting your utility company directly? Many have assistance programs or can arrange payment plans if you explain you're waiting on unemployment benefits.

Have you tried calling TWC to check on the status? If you need to get through quickly I'd suggest using Claimyr.com - it helped me bypass the busy lines last month when I had a payment delay issue. They have a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh. Got me through to an agent in about 20 minutes instead of spending days redialing.

•Thanks, I'll check that out! I've been trying to call all morning but keep getting the busy signal. At this point I'd try anything to find out exactly when I'll get paid.

Here's what you need to know about the TWC payment schedule: 1. Payment requests are processed overnight on the day you file 2. Direct deposits are then initiated the next business day 3. Most banks take 1-2 additional business days to post the funds So if you filed Tuesday, TWC processes it Tuesday night, initiates payment Wednesday, and your bank likely deposits it Friday or Monday depending on their processing times. One thing to check is your TWC account online - look at your payment status. If it shows "processed" rather than "pending," that means TWC has sent it to your bank, and the delay is now on the banking side.

•Thanks for the detailed explanation. I just logged in and it shows "processed" so I guess it's in my bank's hands now. Fingers crossed for Friday!

Quick update on my original comment - if your claim has any special circumstances (like this is your first payment request, you reported earnings, or answered 'yes' to any of the eligibility questions), that could add additional review time. Those factors can sometimes delay the standard processing timeline I mentioned earlier.

•It's not my first payment, but I did report some part-time hours from a temp gig. Maybe that's causing additional delay? The status says "processed" now though.

•If it says "processed" that's good news! That means TWC has completed their part and sent the payment instruction to your bank. The remaining delay is just your bank's standard processing time for ACH transfers. Since it's processed already, Friday is looking likely for the deposit.

I'm in a similar boat - filed Tuesday due to a scheduling conflict and really need that money by the weekend. Based on what everyone's saying here, it sounds like Friday is our best bet if the status shows "processed." I've been checking my account obsessively since filing! The anxiety of waiting when bills are due is the worst part of this whole unemployment process. Really wish TWC had more flexibility with their processing times for urgent situations.

•I totally understand that anxiety! I've been in the same situation before where every day matters when rent is due. Since your status shows "processed" too, Friday does seem like the most likely day for both of you. One thing that helped me was setting up text alerts with my bank so I'd know the moment the deposit hit instead of constantly checking. The waiting game is definitely the worst part of this whole process. Hang in there!

Just want to add that if you have Chase bank specifically, they tend to post TWC direct deposits around 3-4 AM on Friday mornings when filed on Tuesday. I've been tracking this pattern for months now. Also, pro tip - if you're really stressed about timing, you can usually see "pending deposits" in your mobile banking app a day before they actually post. Shows up as a pending transaction Thursday evening if it's going to hit Friday morning. Hope this helps ease some of the anxiety while you wait!

•That's really helpful info about Chase! I don't have Chase but I'll definitely check if my bank has a pending transactions feature. I never thought to look for that - it would definitely help with the stress of not knowing. Thanks for the tip about tracking the patterns too, that's smart. I'm going to start keeping notes on my filing days and deposit times so I can better predict this stuff in the future.

I've been through this exact situation multiple times! Filing on Tuesday typically means you'll see the deposit on Friday if everything processes smoothly. Since your status already shows "processed," that's a really good sign - it means TWC has done their part and sent the payment to your bank. Most banks post ACH deposits like unemployment benefits early Friday morning, usually between 2-6 AM. I'd recommend checking your account first thing Friday morning. For future reference, I always set a Sunday evening reminder on my phone to file my payment request - it's become such a routine that I rarely miss it anymore. The stress of late filing when bills are due is just not worth it! Hang in there, Friday is looking promising for you.

•This is exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you for sharing your experience and the timeline breakdown. I'm definitely going to start setting that Sunday reminder too - you're absolutely right that the stress isn't worth it. I'll be checking my account bright and early Friday morning. Really appreciate everyone's help in this thread, it's made me feel so much better about the situation!

I work for a credit union and can confirm what others are saying about the timing. When TWC sends ACH payments on Wednesday (after Tuesday filing), most financial institutions receive the file that same day but hold it for processing until the next business day. So Friday morning is very likely for your deposit. One thing I always tell our members - if you're cutting it close with bills, consider setting up overdraft protection or talking to your landlord about a brief extension. Many landlords are understanding about unemployment delays if you communicate proactively. Also, some banks offer early direct deposit features that can post funds up to 2 days early - might be worth asking about for future payments!

•Thank you so much for the insider perspective from the credit union side! That's really helpful to understand how the ACH processing works behind the scenes. I never thought about asking for early direct deposit features - I'm definitely going to call my bank tomorrow to see if they offer that. And you're absolutely right about communicating with the landlord proactively. I've been so stressed about this that I didn't even think to just give them a heads up. Better to be upfront than have them wonder what's going on. Really appreciate all the practical advice!

I've been filing unemployment claims for over a year now and have tracked the patterns pretty closely. Tuesday filing almost always results in Friday deposit, assuming no issues with your claim. The fact that your status shows "processed" is the key indicator - that means TWC has completed their review and sent the payment instruction to your bank. At this point it's just waiting on standard ACH processing times. I'd say you have about a 90% chance of seeing it Friday morning, maybe 10% chance it gets delayed to Monday depending on your specific bank's processing schedule. For what it's worth, I've never had a Tuesday filing take longer than Friday to hit my account when the status showed processed within 24 hours. Try to hang in there!

•Those are really reassuring statistics! A 90% chance for Friday sounds pretty good given the circumstances. I appreciate you taking the time to track those patterns - it's so helpful to have real data from someone who's been through this process multiple times. The fact that my status changed to "processed" so quickly after filing does make me feel more optimistic. I'll try to stay positive and check my account Friday morning. Thanks for sharing your experience and helping ease my anxiety about this!

I've been dealing with TWC payments for about 8 months now and can share some insight on the timing. When you file on Tuesday, here's typically what happens: TWC processes overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, then initiates the ACH transfer Wednesday morning. Most banks receive the transfer file Wednesday but don't post it until Friday due to standard ACH processing rules (they hold it for 1-2 business days). Since your claim already shows "processed," you're in good shape for a Friday morning deposit. I use Bank of America and consistently see my deposits hit around 5 AM on Fridays when I file Tuesday. One tip for the future - I set up account alerts so I get a text the moment any deposit hits, which saves me from constantly checking the app. Also consider asking your bank about their ACH posting schedule - some post earlier than others. Hang in there, Friday is looking very likely for you!

•Thanks for breaking down the exact timeline, that's super helpful! I'm with a smaller regional bank so I wasn't sure about their posting schedule, but it sounds like Friday morning is pretty standard across different banks for this type of deposit. I'm definitely going to set up those account alerts you mentioned - constantly refreshing the app is driving me crazy! It's reassuring to hear from someone who's been through this process so many times and has such consistent results. I'll try to be patient and wait for Friday morning, but it's good to know the system is pretty predictable once you understand how it works.

I've been filing TWC claims for about 2 years now and Tuesday filings are definitely doable for Friday deposits! Since your status already shows "processed," you're basically guaranteed to see the money Friday morning. TWC has already done their part - now it's just your bank's standard ACH processing time. I use Wells Fargo and typically see Tuesday-filed payments hit my account around 3-4 AM Friday. The key thing is that "processed" status - if it still showed "pending" I'd be more worried about delays. For future reference, I always file Sunday nights now because the stress of waiting when bills are due just isn't worth it. But you should be good for Friday! I'd recommend setting up mobile deposit alerts so you know the second it hits rather than obsessively checking your balance.

•That's really reassuring to hear from someone with 2 years of experience! I'm definitely going to take your advice about filing Sunday nights going forward - this stress of wondering when the money will hit when bills are due is just not worth it. The mobile alerts idea is great too, I hate constantly refreshing my banking app every few hours. Thanks for confirming that the "processed" status is such a reliable indicator. I feel much more confident about Friday now!

I've been in your exact situation before and I totally understand the stress! Based on my experience and what everyone else is saying here, you should definitely see your payment Friday morning since your status already shows "processed." That's the key indicator that TWC has done their part. I use Capital One and when I file on Tuesday, I almost always get my deposit by 6 AM Friday. The waiting is terrible when you have bills due, but the system is pretty predictable once you know the timeline. For next time, I'd really recommend setting a phone reminder for Sunday evenings to file - it's saved me so much anxiety! Also check if your bank offers early direct deposit features, some banks will post unemployment benefits a day or two early. Hang in there, Friday is looking really good for you!

•This whole thread has been so helpful! I'm new to the unemployment process and was panicking about the timing, but hearing from so many people with experience is really reassuring. The "processed" status seems to be the magic indicator that everything's on track. I'm definitely going to start filing on Sundays from now on to avoid this stress in the future. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and timelines - it makes such a difference to have this community support when dealing with TWC!
