TWC payment delays after Sunday request - anyone get paid on Tuesday?
I requested my unemployment payment on Sunday morning like I always do, but I haven't received anything in my account today (Tuesday). Usually it hits my direct deposit by 9am Tuesday at the latest. Just wondering if anyone else who requested on Sunday got their payment today or if TWC is running behind this week? My claim status still says 'payment processed' but nothing's in my bank yet. Starting to get nervous since rent is due Friday!

Same boat! Requested Sunday at like 6am and still nothing in my account. Thought it was just me.

•That makes me feel slightly better that I'm not alone. Did your payment status change to 'processed' on the website?

I got mine this morning around 7:30am. Are you checking the TWC website to see if it shows as processed? Sometimes there's a delay between when TWC sends it and when your bank posts it. Also check if there were any holidays recently - those can delay direct deposits by a day.

•Yeah, it says 'processed' on the website since yesterday afternoon. My bank usually posts TWC deposits pretty quick once they receive them. No holidays this week that I know of...maybe TWC is just backed up?

•The TWC systems were down for maintenance last weekend - they posted about it on their website. That ALWAYS causes payment delays. It's so annoying they never warn us before doing these "upgrades" which just break everything!!!

When this happened to me last month, I discovered my payment was put on hold because I had a new work search verification. Check your correspondence inbox on the TWC portal - they might have sent you a notice that requires action before they release the payment. If that's the case, you'll need to talk to someone at TWC directly to clear it up.

•Thanks for the tip - I just checked my inbox and don't see any new messages requiring action. Last time I had work search verification was about 6 weeks ago and I submitted everything they asked for.

This happens sometimes when TWC has a high volume of payment requests or system maintenance. If your payment status shows as processed, it should hit your account soon - most likely by tomorrow morning. They tend to process in batches. If you don't receive it by Thursday morning, I'd recommend calling TWC to check if there's an issue. The payment request line won't be able to help with this - you'll need to speak to a claims specialist. Unfortunately, getting through to them can be challenging.

•Thanks for the info! I'll give it until Thursday morning and then try calling if it hasn't arrived. I've never been able to get through on the phone though - last time I tried, I spent 3 hours getting disconnected over and over.

Update: just checked my account and mine finally came through about 20 minutes ago. Maybe they're just doing them in batches today?

•That's good news! I'll keep checking mine. Hopefully it shows up soon.

I had the EXACT same problem 2 weeks ago, showed processed but no deposit for 3 days! I was going CRAZY trying to get thru to TWC on the phone but kept getting busy signals or disconnected. I finally used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me connected to a TWC agent in about 15 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Turns out there was a flag on my account for verification even though nothing showed in my messages! The agent fixed it right away and my deposit came the next day. Might be worth trying if yours doesn't show up by tomorrow.

•I used that same service last month when TWC locked my account after I did the ID.me verification. It actually worked - someone finally answered after months of busy signals!

UPDATE: My payment finally showed up this afternoon! Looks like they were just delayed today. Thanks everyone for your help and input - nice to know I wasn't the only one experiencing this.

•Glad to hear it resolved itself! For future reference, if you ever do have a payment that doesn't arrive within 3-4 business days of showing as processed, that's when you should definitely contact TWC directly. There are legitimate issues that can cause payment holds including income reporting discrepancies, work search verification, or address/payment method changes.

This reminds me of what happened back during the pandemic when I first applied. It took EIGHT WEEKS to get my first payment! I almost lost my apartment. The system is so broken. At least now things only take a few extra days to sort out instead of months...

•Yikes, that sounds awful! I'm fortunate I didn't have to apply during the height of the pandemic. I've heard horror stories about how overwhelmed the system was then.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago - requested Sunday, usually get paid Tuesday morning, but didn't see anything until Wednesday evening. I was panicking because I had bills due! Turned out TWC was just running behind that week. Since your status shows "processed" you should be good - that's the key thing to look for. If it still said "pending" or something else I'd be more worried. Glad to see from the updates that yours came through!

•Thanks for sharing your experience! It's really reassuring to hear from others who've gone through similar delays. You're absolutely right about the "processed" status being the key indicator - that seems to be the main thing to look for. I was definitely starting to panic about rent being due, but thankfully it all worked out. It's wild how stressful these little delays can be when you're relying on these payments to cover basic expenses!
