TWC says payment was sent to bank but nothing in account after 3 days
I'm getting really worried about my unemployment deposit this week. Usually when I submit my payment request on Tuesday, the money hits my account Wednesday morning without fail. It's now Friday and still nothing! When I called the TWC Tele-Serv line, the automated system says the payment was processed and sent to my bank account on Wednesday. I've checked my account like 20 times and there's absolutely nothing there. My bank says they don't see any pending deposits either. Has anyone else experienced this delay recently? I've got bills due Monday and I'm seriously starting to panic. Do I need to contact TWC directly about this or just wait longer?

•A whole week?? Omg I can't wait that long. Did you have to do anything special or did it just randomly appear?

This could be happening for several reasons: 1. Your bank might be holding the deposit for verification (some banks hold ACH transfers for 2-3 business days) 2. There might have been a change in your payment method at TWC's end 3. TWC's payment system is experiencing delays (this has been happening more frequently lately) First thing I'd recommend is to log into your TWC account online and verify your payment details are correct. Check that the bank account number shown matches your current account. Also look for any correspondence or notices about payment changes. If everything looks correct online, you'll need to speak with a TWC representative directly. The automated system can only tell you what's in their system, not what might have gone wrong with the transfer.

•Thank you, I just double-checked my account info on the TWC portal and everything seems correct. My bank account number is right. I don't see any notices about payment changes either. I guess I'll have to try talking to a live person, but that's always such a nightmare.

The EXACT same thing happened to me this week!! I requested payment on Tuesday and the system says it was processed but nothing in my account. Usually it's there by Wednesday morning too. Something must be going on with their system right now.

•That makes me feel a little better that I'm not alone. Have you tried calling them yet? I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle if it's a system-wide issue that will resolve itself.

I had this issue back in January and it turned out there was a payment hold flag on my account that wasn't showing up in the automated system. When I finally got through to a live agent, they were able to remove the flag and release my payment within 24 hours. The frustrating part was trying to get through to TWC on the phone. I spent 3 days getting busy signals and disconnects before I discovered Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a service that helps you get through to a TWC agent without the endless busy signals. Worked perfectly for me - I got connected to a rep in about 20 minutes after trying for days on my own. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh Definitely worth it when you need to resolve time-sensitive payment issues.

•Thanks for the tip! I've been calling since yesterday and just keep getting busy signals or the recording telling me to call back later. I'll check out that service if I don't see the deposit by Monday morning. Did the TWC agent give you any explanation for why the flag was on your account?

This is actually fairly common with the TWC payment system, especially at the end of the month or during bank holidays. Here's what I recommend: 1. First, wait until Monday. Sometimes there are processing delays between TWC and the banking system, especially if your payment was approved later in the day on Wednesday. 2. Check your TWC correspondence inbox online for any new messages about payment issues. 3. If it doesn't arrive by Monday afternoon, you'll need to contact TWC directly. When you speak with them, be sure to ask them to verify: - The exact date and time the payment was sent - The account number it was sent to - If there are any payment holds on your account - Whether this is a known system issue affecting multiple claimants One other thing to check - make sure you completed all your work search activities for the weeks claimed. Sometimes TWC will process a payment but then place it on hold if they detect a work search compliance issue.

•ya thats good advice. i forgot to mention that when i called they said sometimes it takes longer if u claim on a diff day than usual or if u reported earnings for that week. did u report any work?

I did report some part-time hours this week, but I've done that before without any delay in payment. I usually get a smaller amount but it still comes on Wednesday. I'm definitely going to wait until Monday before completely freaking out, but it's stressful not knowing what's going on. I'll try calling TWC again this afternoon and see if I can get through.

•Any luck with your payment yet? Mine finally showed up this morning! No explanation, it just appeared in my account.

When you report part-time earnings, it often triggers a manual review of your payment request, especially if the amount varies significantly from previous reports. This can delay your payment by 3-5 business days. I worked for TWC for several years, and this was a common issue. The system initiates the payment (which is why the automated line says it was sent), but then it gets flagged for review before actually being released to your bank. If it's not in your account by Monday afternoon, you should definitely contact TWC directly. Also, check your payment details on the TWC website rather than just the Tele-Serv system. The website often shows more detailed status information that might explain the delay.

•Thank you for the insider knowledge! I did report about 10 more hours than I usually do, so maybe that's what triggered it. The website just shows "payment processed" but doesn't give any other details. If it doesn't show up Monday, I'll definitely call and ask about a manual review.

UPDATE: My payment finally hit my account this morning (Monday)! Never got an explanation about the delay, but I'm just relieved it came through before my bills were due. Thanks everyone for the advice and reassurance. Seems like the TWC system is just running slow these days.
