PA UC Money Network card payment delay - when will funds actually deposit?
Y'all I'm at my wits end with this Money Network card situation. Filed my weekly claim on Sunday night, got the email saying payment was processed Tuesday, but here we are Thursday and STILL NOTHING on my card!! Called the automated line and it says "payment sent" but my card balance shows $0!? I had so many bills due today and now I'm screwed with late fees. This is like the 3rd time this has happened. Anyone else dealing with these delays? How many days does it usually take for money to actually hit your card? #moneynetwork

The Money Network cards are definitely running slower than usual lately. My last payment took 4 business days to show up after getting the "payment processed" email. They used to be 2 days like clockwork. Are you checking the actual Money Network app or just calling? Sometimes the app updates before the phone system.

•Been checking both the app AND calling every few hours! App says nothing pending, phone line just says my balance is $0. I just don't understand how they can say "payment sent" but the $ isn't there??

•5 DAYS?!? That's insane!! I can't wait that long, my landlord is already on my back. Might try your 4am trick tomorrow though, thanks

This is a common issue right now. PA UC is technically "sending" payments on time, but there's a processing delay between their system and Money Network's system. I called the PA UC help desk about this last week (took me 37 tries to get through!) and they explained that once it shows as "payment sent" in their system, they consider it done, even though Money Network takes additional time to process. The frustrating part is that neither side takes responsibility for the delay between systems. You should always plan for 3-5 business days from your filing date, not from the "payment sent" date, especially at busy times like now.

•yup sounds about right. classic pa unemployment passing the buck! nobody takes responsiblity for anything in this system. next time they'll blame the banks lol

Hey, I had this exact problem twice in the past month. The delay is happening because of a verification batch processing issue between PA Treasury and Money Network. If you need to speak with someone to confirm your payment status, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). It helped me get through to an actual UC rep in about 15 minutes instead of spending days trying to call. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 When I finally got through, they confirmed my payment was actually sent and explained the 3-5 day delay. Nothing was wrong with my claim - just the stupid processing time. That at least gave me peace of mind.

•Never heard of Claimyr before but I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point. Just need to know if the money is actually coming or if there's some new problem with my claim. Thanks for the tip!

Did you check if there's an "open issue" on your claim? Sometimes PA UC sends the payment notification email but then puts a hold on it before it actually transfers to Money Network. This happened to me and I had to submit additional documents to verify my employment before they released the payment. Log into your UC portal and look for any message alerts or open issues.

•Just double-checked and don't see any open issues. No message alerts either. Everything looks normal on the UC side which makes it even more frustrating! Just says payment processed with the correct amount.

•Then it's definitely the Money Network delay others mentioned. One other thing to try - sometimes if you transfer even a small amount ($1) from your Money Network to your personal bank account, it can trigger the system to update and then your payment suddenly appears. Weird tech glitch but worked for me once.

My sister works for the bank that handles some PA UC stuff (not Money Network but they interact with them). She told me they're having major tech issues this month because they upgraded their processing system and it's causing all kinds of delays. Not supposed to say this publicly I guess but the delays could last into next month according to what she heard. Might want to find a backup plan for bills if you can.

try calling ur state rep!!!!! they helped my cousin when his money was stuck for like 2 weeks. sometimes they can push it through faster

•This is actually good advice. State representatives' offices often have dedicated staff who can escalate unemployment issues. Their constituent services can sometimes get results when normal channels fail. Just make sure you have your claim ID number and all relevant dates ready when you contact them.

UPDATE: Just checked my card at 6am and the money FINALLY showed up!!! 😅 That's 5 days total after filing my claim and 3 days after getting the "payment processed" email. No explanation, no pending transaction, it just appeared. Guess I'll need to adjust my bill payment schedule going forward to account for these delays. Thanks everyone for the advice and commiseration!

•Glad to hear it came through! This seems to be the new normal with Money Network unfortunately. Better to expect 5 days and be pleasantly surprised if it's faster.
