PA UC Money Network card payment delays - Treasury says funds posted but nothing received
So frustrated with this Money Network card situation! Got my bi-weekly claim approved 3 days ago, and nothing's showing up on my card. Called PA Treasury today and the rep told me that all payments were already posted from their end, and that we 'should receive them today' but it's apparently a 'waiting game' and there's some kind of 'issue on Money Network's end.' Has anyone else experienced this recently? I have rent due tomorrow and was counting on this payment. Is there something else I can do besides just wait? This is my 3rd benefit payment on the Money Network card and the first two came through without problems.

•Did you have to do anything special or just wait? 2 extra days would put me past my rent due date... ughhh

I had this back in January. SO ANNOYING. The Treasury isn't lying - they've done their part but Money Network is TERRIBLE about processing. Sometimes there's a random 24-48 hour delay and they NEVER explain why!!!

•Money Network has been having tons of IT issues lately for PA UC payments. If Treasury confirmed the payment posted, you'll eventually get it, but there's literally nothing you can do except wait. It's ridiculous they make us deal with this garbage system.

This is a common issue. There's typically a 1-2 business day processing delay between when Treasury posts the funds and when Money Network makes them available on your card. Since you confirmed with Treasury that the payment was posted, you should see it by tomorrow. If it doesn't appear within 3 business days of Treasury's confirmation, you should call Money Network directly at the number on the back of your card. One tip: set up direct deposit through your UC portal instead of using the Money Network card. Direct deposit is almost always faster and more reliable with fewer delays.

•Thanks for the info. Do you know if I can switch to direct deposit mid-claim? Or do I have to wait until my benefit year ends and I file a new claim?

You can switch to direct deposit at any time! Just log into your PA UC portal, go to "View and Maintain Account Information," then select "Update Personal Information," and you'll see an option for "Payment Information" where you can enter your bank account details for direct deposit. Any payments that haven't been processed yet will go to the new method.

•Perfect, thank you so much! I'll do that right away so I don't have to deal with these Money Network delays again.

I had this exact problem last month! Treasury said payment posted but Money Network didn't show it for THREE DAYS. I was panicking because I had bills due. Finally called Money Network and they gave me some excuse about "processing times" but wouldn't actually tell me when my money would appear. It showed up the next morning. I tried calling PA UC to complain about Money Network but we all know how impossible it is to reach anyone there. Busy signals for days, and when I finally got in the queue, I waited 2 hours before getting disconnected. I gave up after that.

•If you need to reach PA UC quickly about this or other issues, I used a service called Claimyr that got me through to an agent in about 20 minutes instead of spending days trying. Their system just keeps calling for you until they get through, then they call you when they have an agent on the line. Saved me so much frustration! You can see how it works at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 or just go to claimyr.com. Definitely worth it when you're dealing with time-sensitive payment issues.

I know this doesn't help you right now, but for the future - ALWAYS switch to direct deposit whenever possible! I had so many problems with that stupid Money Network card. Once I switched to direct deposit, my payments were consistently in my bank account the day after my weekly claim was processed. No more random delays or having to call different agencies trying to track down my money.

•AGREE 100%!!! That Money Network card is THE WORST part of the whole unemployment system. I don't understand why they don't make direct deposit the default option instead of these awful prepaid cards that nobody wants!!!

•If Treasury confirms they've sent the payment, it should always eventually appear on your card. I've never heard of a confirmed payment not eventually showing up. However, if it's been more than 3-4 business days, you should contact Money Network directly as there could be an issue with your specific card.

Update: My payment FINALLY showed up on my Money Network card this morning! That's over 4 days after my claim was approved and 2 days after Treasury said they posted the payment. I'm definitely switching to direct deposit today. Thanks everyone for the advice and sharing your experiences - at least I know I wasn't alone in dealing with this!
