PA UC payment shows as issued today but not on Money Network card - anyone else?

Seriously frustrated right now! My bi-weekly claim was processed and my payment history on the PA UC portal shows today as the issue date, but there's absolutely nothing on my Money Network card. Usually it's there by 6 AM but it's now almost 4 PM and still nothing. Called the Money Network number and they don't show any pending deposits. My rent is due tomorrow and I'm starting to panic. Has this happened to anyone else recently? Is there a delay in the system or did something go wrong with my claim? This is week 6 of my claim so I haven't had any issues until now.

Did you do anything special to get it or did it just show up eventually?

This happens sometimes during holidays or system maintenance periods. If your payment is marked as 'issued' on the portal, it's been authorized but there may be a delay in the transfer to Money Network. A few things to check: 1. Verify your payment is marked as 'issued' not just 'processed' 2. Check that your claim doesn't have any new 'open issues' 3. Wait until tomorrow morning - sometimes there's a 24-48 hour delay If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow afternoon, you'll need to speak with a UC representative directly. The Money Network folks can't help with payments that haven't been transmitted to them yet.

Thanks for the detailed reply. It definitely says 'issued' and there are no open issues showing. I guess I'll try to be patient until tomorrow. Just hate cutting it so close with my rent payment.

This happens to me EVERY TIME there's a holiday! Even if the holiday falls on a weekend!!! The UC system is so outdated its not even funny. One time I had to wait 4 DAYS after it said issued!!

Hey there! I went through the exact same thing last month and was totally panicking too. My payment showed as issued but didn't hit my card for almost 2 days. The problem is that once it says 'issued' in the UC system, it's out of their hands and in the banking transfer system. Calling UC is usually just frustrating because they'll tell you it's been sent and to wait. I found a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me actually reach a PA UC rep when I needed to follow up. They have this system that holds your place in the phone queue so you don't have to keep redialing. They have a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 For me, it turned out there was a bank processing delay even though everything on UC's end was fine. The rep confirmed my payment was in the system and gave me peace of mind while I waited the extra day.

Thanks for the tip! If it's not there tomorrow I'll definitely check out that service. Spending hours redialing UC is the last thing I need right now.

is that service legit? seems weird to pay someone to call unemployment for you when you can just do it yourself for free

This is a common issue with the PA UC payment system. When the system shows a payment as 'issued,' it means it has been authorized by the UC system and sent to the financial institution for processing. However, there are several phases to the payment process: 1. UC approves your bi-weekly claim 2. Payment is marked as 'issued' in the system 3. Funds are transmitted through ACH to Money Network 4. Money Network processes the deposit to your card Each step can take 24-48 hours. If your payment was issued today, it's normal for it to take until tomorrow or even the day after to appear on your card, especially if there was a weekend or holiday involved. If your payment doesn't appear within 3 business days of the issue date, then you should contact UC directly. Just be prepared for a long wait time on the phone.

Thank you for explaining the process so clearly. That helps me understand what's happening. I guess I've been lucky until now that it usually showed up same day. I'll give it the full 3 business days before really worrying.

UPDATE: My payment finally hit my card this morning! Looks like it was just a delay in the system. Thanks everyone for your help and reassurance - saved me from a total meltdown yesterday!

Great news! Glad it worked out. For future reference, if you ever do need to speak with a representative, try calling right when they open at 8:00 AM. The wait times are usually shortest first thing in the morning.
