PA UC Money Network payment delay - scheduled yesterday but nothing in account yet?

Really starting to worry about my PA UC payment that's not showing up on my Money Network card yet. The UC portal shows yesterday as the payment date (which is normal), but I usually receive it on Tuesday morning like clockwork. It's now Wednesday afternoon and nothing's hit my account. No emails, no notifications, nothing in my inbox on the portal. Anyone else experiencing delays with their payments this week? I've got rent due Friday and I'm starting to panic a bit. Is this happening to anyone else or should I be contacting them about a potential issue with my account?

same here! payment date shows monday but still nothin on my card. usually hits tuesday morning by 10am at the latest. tried calling the money network number but the automated system just says 'pending deposit' whatever that means

That's exactly what mine says too! I'm a little relieved I'm not alone. Wonder if it's a system-wide thing or just affecting some of us.

This happened to me in January too. Think it's something with the holiday on Monday throwing off their processing schedule? Mine always gets delayed after holidays.

Presidents Day! It was a bank holiday so I'm guessing that's why everything's delayed this week.

It's most likely related to the federal banking holiday on Monday. Even though the PA UC system shows a payment date, the actual transfer to your Money Network card depends on ACH processing times. With the holiday, everything gets pushed back by a day. Your payment should appear by tomorrow morning at the latest. If it doesn't show up by Thursday afternoon, that's when you should contact the UC service center to check if there's an actual issue with your specific payment.

Thank you SO much for explaining this! Makes total sense now - I completely forgot about Presidents Day. I'll give it until tomorrow morning then. Really appreciate the clear explanation.

This is why I HATE the Money Network card!!! When I was on UC last year, this happened ALL THE TIME! Sometimes it would say payment processed but wouldn't show up for 3-4 days!!! I called and complained so many times but nobody could ever give me a straight answer about WHY the delays happen. The worst part is you can't even talk to a real person at Money Network without going through 100 automated menus!!! I ended up switching to direct deposit to my regular bank account and never had issues after that.

Wait, I didn't even realize switching to direct deposit was an option! I've been using this card for months and dealing with all the fees. How do you set up direct deposit instead?

You can switch to direct deposit by logging into your PA UC dashboard and selecting "Payment Information" under the "Unemployment Services" menu. Then choose "Update Payment Type" and select direct deposit. You'll need your bank's routing number and your account number. The change usually takes effect after 1-2 payment cycles.

Anyone try using Claimyr to reach someone at PA UC about this? I had a similar issue with delayed payments last month and couldn't get through on the regular line. Used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got connected to an agent in about 10 minutes who fixed my payment issue right away. They have a demo video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Definitely worth it for urgent payment problems when you can't wait on hold all day.

Yeah, it worked for me. Basically puts you in line and calls you when an agent is available. Saved me from having to redial a million times.

I'm having the same issue, but just got a notification that my payment hit about 30 minutes ago! Hopefully everyone else's payments are coming through too. Seems like federal holiday + some system delays on their end = late payments this week. If you haven't already, download the Money Network app so you get push notifications when deposits hit.

Just checked and mine came through too! Such a relief. And thanks for the app suggestion - just downloaded it now. That would have saved me a lot of stress today!

hey did anyone else notice they took out more tax this payment? mine seemed lower than usual, wondering if they adjusted the withholding percentages or something

If your withholding amount changed, it's likely because you updated your withholding preferences (either intentionally or accidentally) when completing your bi-weekly certification. You can check your current withholding settings in your account under "Payment Information" and make adjustments for future payments if needed.

Just wanted to update - my payment finally went through this morning. Seems like it was just the holiday delay. Everyone else get theirs?

Yep, got mine yesterday afternoon finally! And I took everyone's advice and switched to direct deposit for future payments to avoid these kinds of delays. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I was starting to freak out because my payment didn't come through yesterday like usual either. Reading everyone's experiences with the Presidents Day delay makes me feel so much better. I had no idea federal holidays could mess with the timing like that. Going to download that Money Network app right now so I get notifications, and definitely looking into switching to direct deposit after this. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it really helps to know you're not alone when these delays happen!
