PA UC payment shows pay date 9/3 but no transaction number yet - delayed deposit?

I'm watching my PA UC portal like a hawk because rent is due Friday. My payment has a pay date of 9/3 (yesterday), and I'm used to seeing the money hit my Money Network card on Wednesdays (today). But I don't see any transaction numbers showing up in the system yet, which usually means the deposit isn't processing. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a sign it's going to be late? Really stressing because I told my landlord the money was coming tomorrow, and now I'm not so sure. Has the payment schedule changed or is the system just being slow?

Same boat!! My payment date shows 9/3 too and still no transaction # as of 2pm today. I usually get paid Wednesdays but looks like its gonna be Thursday this week. Probably because of the holiday weekend messing things up?

Ugh that makes sense - totally forgot Monday was Labor Day! I wonder if they announced that somewhere and I missed it?

Transaction numbers typically appear by end of business day before the deposit hits your Money Network card. Since Monday was a holiday, the entire payment processing schedule shifts forward by one day. Your payment with a 9/3 pay date will most likely hit your card Thursday instead of Wednesday this week. This happens with every federal holiday and affects all PA UC payment processing.

Thanks for explaining! Do you know if this delay happens every holiday or just some of them? Need to plan better for future months.

It happens with all federal holidays where banks are closed. So plan for delays after New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The transaction numbers should appear by tonight, and payment should deposit tomorrow.

I had this exact thing last month!!! Freaked out because I needed to pay my car insurance but my payment was a day late. Called unemployment like 57 times and NEVER got through (kept getting busy signal) until I found a service called Claimyr that got me past the busy signals. The rep confirmed it was just delayed processing due to system maintenance or something. You can check out their demo video here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 or go to claimyr.com - saved me hours of redial frustration!

Yeah it worked for me twice now! The first time I was skeptical but was desperate because I had an issue with my work search activities that was going to mess up my claim if I didn't get it fixed quickly.

I've been on PA unemployment for 5 months now and noticed that ANY holiday messes up the payment schedule! Labor Day = payments delayed. Memorial Day = payments delayed. Random Tuesday that only state workers get off that nobody else knows about = PAYMENTS DELAYED!!! They never announce these things either so we're all just left guessing and stressing. Would it kill them to put a banner on the website saying "Hey, payments will be one day late this week"??? The system is DESIGNED to make us suffer I swear.

You can actually sign up for text alerts about payment processing on the PA UC website. Go to your dashboard, then user preferences, then communication preferences. They do send notifications about holiday delays if you opt in.

while we're waiting for these late payments has anyone else noticed the job search requirements are getting stricter?? my case worker said I need 5 work search activities now instead of 3? anyone else???

Standard PA UC requirements are still 3 work search activities per week. If you've been told you need 5, that might be specific to your claim situation or perhaps a miscommunication. I'd recommend calling to verify this information.
