PA UC deposit released to Money Network card but never arrived - filed late?
Has anyone else had a problem with their PA UC deposit not showing up this week? I usually file on Sunday, but accidentally filed on Monday this time. My portal shows the payment was released yesterday and even has a payment number, but I still don't have anything on my Money Network card as of now (usually it's there by 6am). Does filing a day late mess up the deposit timeline? Starting to worry since I have rent due tomorrow and was counting on this money.

•Thanks! That's a relief to hear. Do you know if there's a specific time it usually comes through when it's delayed like this?

The exact same thing happened to me!! I'm freaking out because my car payment is due today and I'm going to get hit with late fees if it doesn't come through soon. Why don't they TELL US this would happen if we file late???

•I've been on UC for 8 months now and learned the hard way that filing schedule affects payment timing. The system works on specific batch processing cycles. Sunday filings typically process Monday night for Tuesday deposit. Monday filings usually process Tuesday night for Wednesday deposit. They actually do mention this somewhere buried in the handbook, but nobody reads all that stuff! Just make sure to file every Sunday going forward.

When you file late, it puts your claim into the next processing batch. The payment release date you see is just when it was approved, but the actual deposit timing depends on both the UC system AND your bank/Money Network card's processing time. Since you have a payment number, you're definitely getting paid - it's just a timing issue. If you're really concerned, you should call the UC service center to confirm everything is correct. Though getting through can be challenging...

•If you're having trouble getting through to PA UC by phone, I'd recommend trying Claimyr. I was in the same boat last month - payment showing as released but not in my account, and I was panicking. Used their service and got connected to a UC rep in about 20 minutes instead of spending days trying to get through. The rep confirmed my payment was coming the next day and explained the whole processing schedule to me. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 that shows how it works. Their website is claimyr.com if you want to check it out.

Here's what's actually happening with your payment: 1. When you filed on Monday instead of Sunday, you missed the Sunday-night processing batch 2. Monday filings get processed in the Monday-night batch 3. The payment shows as "released" after the batch processes 4. However, ACH transfers to Money Network cards take 1-2 business days AFTER the release date I'd expect your deposit to appear tomorrow morning. If it doesn't show up by noon tomorrow, THEN you should contact them. This is completely normal though - the payment timing is working exactly as designed, even though it's stressful when you're waiting for money.

•Thank you for the detailed explanation! This makes me feel a lot better. I'll just make sure to file on Sundays from now on. Do you know if there's a way to set up text reminders or something for filing? I don't want to mess this up again.

THE PA UC SYSTEM IS DELIBERATELY DESIGNED TO BE CONFUSING AND DELAY PAYMENTS!!!! I've been dealing with their garbage for months and they're always finding new ways to hold our money. Late filing shouldn't matter - they HAVE the money, they APPROVED the payment, just SEND IT ALREADY!!!

•While the system is definitely frustrating, the processing schedule is actually pretty consistent if you know how it works. The main issue is that they don't clearly explain this to claimants. Filing on Sunday = payment Tuesday, filing Monday = payment Wednesday, etc. The delays aren't arbitrary - they're based on how the electronic payment system operates.

my sister in law told me they sometimes hold payments if u've been claiming for a while to make sure ur still eligible... how long have u been on unemployment?

•I've only been claiming for about 5 weeks so I don't think that's my issue. It sounds like the filing day is what messed me up. Thanks though!

Just wanted to update everyone that my payment from Monday's filing just hit my Money Network card this morning around 6:30am. So it was exactly one day later than my usual timeline. Thanks for all the helpful info!
