PA UC payment says 'pay date 12/4' but nothing on Money Network card - how long to wait?
So frustrated right now. I checked my UC portal this morning and it shows a payment with 'pay date 12/4' (yesterday) but when I called the Money Network card customer service, they said there's nothing paid and nothing pending! I've been waiting on this payment for my rent and utilities. Does anyone know how long it typically takes for money to actually hit the card after the system shows a pay date? Is there a delay I'm not aware of? This is my third payment but the first two seemed to come right away. Getting really nervous because I need this money ASAP.

There's usually a 2-3 business day delay between when the system shows a pay date and when it actually hits your Money Network card. So if yesterday was the pay date, you might not see it until tomorrow or Friday. I wouldn't panic yet!

•Thanks for responding. The weird thing is my first two payments showed up same day as the pay date. Is this delay something new they've started?

The normal timeframe is 1-2 business days, but it can sometimes take up to 3 business days depending on processing times. If the pay date was 12/4, I'd expect it by 12/7 at the latest. If it doesn't show up by then, you should contact the UC service center to make sure there isn't an issue with your payment.

•Thats not totally right. Mine usually comes THE SAME DAY as my pay date. Only time it took longer was when there was a holiday. Maybe call the treasury deparment not the card people.

•I'll definitely check first thing tomorrow. So stressful living payment to payment like this!

There are a few things that could be happening here: 1. Holiday processing delays (we just had Thanksgiving) 2. High volume of payments being processed 3. System glitch between PA Treasury and Money Network If you need to reach the UC service center to check on this, I recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com) - they can get you connected to a UC rep quickly instead of dealing with busy signals all day. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 I was in a similar situation last month and was able to get through to confirm my payment was actually processing correctly but just delayed.

THERE IS 100% A DELAY RIGHT NOW!! I'm in the exact same boat - my pay date was 12/4 too and nothing on my card yet either. I spoke to someone else waiting on payments and they said the system is backed up. PA Treasury is ALWAYS screwing things up. They never tell us when there are delays either, we're just supposed to wait and hope our bills don't bounce!!!!!

•Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone! That makes me feel a bit better actually. Did they give you any idea when the payments might go through?

Just wanted to update that my payment from 12/4 just hit my card about an hour ago. Maybe check yours now?

Glad to hear your payment came through! For future reference, if you ever need to track a payment issue, you can call the PA Treasury Department directly at 877-869-1956. They handle the actual transfer of funds to Money Network cards and can often provide more detailed information about payment status than the regular UC service center.
