PA UC payment date shows 8/15 - will deposit arrive Wednesday or Thursday?
Just checked my UC account and it shows my payment date as 8/15. Anyone know if this means the money will hit my Money Network card on Wednesday or Thursday? This is my 3rd payment but the previous ones got delayed so i'm not sure what the actual timeframe is. Really need it by Thursday for rent payment!!

The payment date on the PA UC portal is when the money is processed, not when it hits your card. Usually takes 1-2 business days after that date. If your payment date shows 8/15, you'll probably see it Thursday but could be Friday depending on your bank. It's never been consistent for me either.

•Ugh i was afraid of that. My landlord is already annoyed with me being late last month. Guess I'll have to beg for another extension 😫

It depends on your payment method. Direct deposit is usually 1-2 business days after the payment date. Money Network card is typically 2 business days, but I've seen it come in 1 day occasionally. So for 8/15, expect it Thursday or Friday. Just FYI - you can set up text alerts on the Money Network portal to notify you when deposits hit your card.

•I'm using the Money Network card. Wish I had done direct deposit now but I was worried about messing something up when I first applied.

The payment schedule can be frustrating! Here's what I know for sure: The payment date (8/15) is when UC releases the funds, but there's always processing time. For Money Network cards specifically: - Processing typically takes 1-2 business days - If 8/15 is Monday, expect Tuesday-Wednesday - If 8/15 is Tuesday, expect Wednesday-Thursday - If 8/15 is Wednesday, expect Thursday-Friday Also worth noting that if you have any pending issues on your claim, even something small, it can delay things further.

•Thanks for the breakdown! 8/15 is actually Thursday this year, so I guess that means Friday-Monday? That's going to be a problem for my rent...

•You're right - if 8/15 is Thursday, then realistically you're looking at a Friday-Monday timeframe. Sorry about that! If you're in a tight spot with rent, remember that PA law gives you a 5-day grace period before landlords can charge late fees, but this varies by lease agreement.

Has anyone tried calling the UC service center to ask about speeding up payments? I'm stuck in a similar situation and can't get through on the phone - always busy or disconnected after waiting forever. Is there any trick to actually reach a person who can help?

•I was in your exact situation last month! After 30+ calls getting busy signals, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to a PA UC agent in about 20 minutes. They can't speed up your payment once it's processing, but they can tell you exactly when to expect it and handle any issues that might be causing delays. You can see how it works in their video here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Saved me from having to keep redailing for hours!

•I've tried calling too with no luck. Might try that service if my payment doesn't show up when expected.

Not to stress you out more but I had a payment with date 7/22 that didn't hit until 7/26 because of some "processing issue" they never explained. then the next one came right on schedule. its so random sometimes

•Great, that's exactly what I was afraid of. I'm going to be checking my card every hour at this point.

Quick update follow-up: If you're really in a bind with timing, remember that Money Network cards let you get cash advances from certain ATMs and bank tellers as soon as the money is on your card. Some landlords might accept a money order which you can purchase with the card at places like Walmart or grocery stores. Just trying to give you some options!

•That's actually really helpful, thank you! My landlord might accept a money order if I explain the situation. Appreciate the suggestion!
