PA UC Money Network card payment timing - Will I get paid before Wednesday?
Okay so my claim situation FINALLY got sorted out yesterday after being in limbo for nearly a month (such a relief!). The agent told me my payment was processed today, but I'm wondering about the timing for when it will hit my Money Network card? This is my first time getting paid on this card system - previously had direct deposit with my old job. Does anyone know if there's a delay between when PA UC processes the payment and when it shows up on the card? The agent mentioned something about Wednesday but wasn't clear if that's standard or just a guess. Really hoping it comes through before the weekend as I've got bills due. Thanks for any help!

it usually takes 2-3 business days for money to hit ur card after they process the payment. so ya wednesday is pretty normal. sometimes it comes a day earlier if ur lucky but dont count on it. UC was always like this even before they switched to money network cards. the whole system runs on schedules from like 1995 lol

•Ugh that sucks. Thanks for the info though. Guess I'll just have to call my landlord and see if they'll give me til the end of the week.

Happened to me last month when I finally got my benefits approved. Payment released on Monday, hit my Money Network card Wednesday morning around 9am. It's pretty consistent.

•That's good to know it's at least consistent! Do you know if they send any kind of notification when it posts to the card?

The Money Network card system typically follows this schedule: 1. Day 1: PA UC processes payment in their system 2. Day 2: Payment is in transfer status (not visible to you) 3. Day 3: Payment appears on your Money Network card, usually early morning Weekends don't count as business days. So if they processed it today (assuming it's Monday or Tuesday), Wednesday is the expected delivery date. You can also set up text alerts through the Money Network mobile app to know exactly when funds are deposited.

•Thanks for breaking it down like that! Super helpful. I'll download that app right now to set up alerts.

If you absolutely need the funds earlier, you could try calling the Money Network customer service directly at the number on the back of your card. Sometimes they can see pending deposits before they actually post. They won't be able to make it go faster but at least you'll know for sure when it's coming. Also, remember to activate your card if you haven't already done that! I made that mistake and wondered why my payment was late.

•I did activate it thankfully! Good idea about calling them directly - might do that tomorrow if nothing shows up.

I HATE the Money Network card!!! Why did they change from the old ReliaCard anyway?? My payments are ALWAYS delayed and their customer service is useless. Last month I had a payment that didn't show up for FIVE DAYS after UC said it was processed!!! The whole system is designed to make us suffer more i swear

•Not everyone has had that experience. Mine has been pretty reliable, usually 2 days max. Have you tried setting up the direct deposit option instead of using the card? You can link it to your bank account on the Money Network website.

If you're needing to reach someone at PA UC to discuss payment issues in the future, I found a service called Claimyr that gets you through to an actual agent without the endless busy signals. Saved me hours of frustration when I had payment delays on my Money Network card last month. Their site is claimyr.com and they have a demo video at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 showing how it works. My payment issue got fixed the same day I used it.

•Thanks for the tip! Luckily I was able to get through this time, but I've spent countless hours trying to reach someone before. I'll bookmark that for next time there's an issue.

Just checked my payment history and my last 6 payments all hit within 2 days after processing. Wednesday is pretty realistic. But I'm curious how your issue got resolved? I'm dealing with an open issue right now and can't get any straight answers from anyone.

•My issue was that my previous employer contested my claim saying I quit (I was actually laid off). Had to provide email documentation proving it was a layoff. Took forever but finally got a determination in my favor. Just keep detailed records of everything! That's what saved me.

Congrats on getting your claim sorted out! That must be such a huge relief after a month of stress. From my experience, Wednesday is pretty standard for Money Network deposits when they process on Monday/Tuesday. One tip - if you haven't already, definitely download the Money Network app and turn on push notifications. I get alerts the moment my deposit hits, usually around 8-9 AM. It's way better than constantly checking your balance. Hope it comes through on time for your bills!

•Thanks for the congrats and the app tip! I'm definitely downloading it right now. It's been such a stressful month not knowing when or if I'd ever see those payments. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences with the timing - makes me feel way more confident that Wednesday is realistic. The push notifications sound perfect so I don't have to keep obsessively checking my balance every hour!
