PA UC payment shows 'paid' since April 18th but no money received - anyone else waiting?
I'm seriously getting anxious here... My PA unemployment claim shows a transaction number and says payment was issued on April 18th (that's 5 days ago!), but nothing has hit my account yet. I've checked my direct deposit info three times and it's definitely correct. Is the Money Network card system glitching again? My bills are piling up and my landlord isn't exactly the patient type. Has anyone else had payments delayed recently despite showing as 'paid' in the system? How long should I wait before panicking and spending hours trying to reach someone at UC?

This happened to me back in February. The system showed my payment as processed but it took NINE DAYS to actually hit my bank account. The rep I finally reached said there was some kind of processing backlog at Treasury. Check your payment method - if you switched recently between direct deposit and the debit card, that can cause delays too.

•Nine days?! I can't wait that long! Did they give you any way to speed it up? I've been on direct deposit since I started my claim so it's not a switch issue.

The UC payment system is ABSOLUTELY BROKEN and nobody seems to care!!! I've had THREE payments this year that showed as paid but took over a week to arrive. One time they told me it was a "verification hold" but they NEVER NOTIFIED ME! The other times they just blamed "the system" or "the Treasury" - as if that helps pay my bills! The people running this system should be FIRED. They have NO IDEA what it's like to be waiting on money you NEED FOR FOOD.

•I'm starting to think you're right about the system being broken. It's so stressful not knowing when the money will actually come through. Did you ever find a way to get them to push your payment through faster?

I work with PA UC claims daily and can tell you there's definitely been an increase in payment delays lately. Here's what's happening: payments are being approved in the UC system, but the transfer to Treasury (who actually releases the funds) is backlogged. Unfortunately, UC reps can't speed this up once it's in Treasury's hands. You should receive your funds within 7-10 business days from the paid date. If it goes beyond that, you need to speak with a rep to file a payment tracer.

•Thanks for the explanation. So there's really nothing I can do but wait? That's frustrating, but at least I know it's not just me. Is there any way to confirm it's actually in process with Treasury?

If you need to actually reach someone at PA UC to check on your payment status, I highly recommend using Claimyr. I was in the exact same situation last month - payment showed processed but never arrived. I tried calling for THREE DAYS with no luck. Then I found Claimyr (claimyr.com) and they got me through to a live agent in under 30 minutes. The agent was able to see exactly where my payment was stuck and fixed it right away. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 - totally worth it for the peace of mind.

•@randomUser456 Yes, it actually does! The busy signals are exactly why I tried it. They basically keep dialing for you and then call you when they get through. Saved me hours of frustration.

Did u check if your payment method changed? My husband had this happen and turns out they randomly switched him from direct deposit to the debit card thing without telling him!!

•I just double-checked and it still shows direct deposit. No changes on my end. So weird that they would switch your husband's payment method without notice!

Quick update from what I'm seeing with clients - there was a payment processing issue affecting claims with paid dates between April 16-19. PA Treasury is working through the backlog. Most payments are starting to arrive now, about 7-8 days after the paid date. If you still don't receive yours by Friday (that would be 10 business days), you should definitely contact UC to request a payment tracer. The issue appears to be affecting both direct deposit and Money Network card payments equally.

•Thank you so much for this update! It's actually really helpful to know there's a known issue. I'll wait until Friday before taking further action. Really appreciate you sharing this information.

So glad to see your payment finally came through! I'm dealing with the same issue right now - my payment has been showing as "paid" since April 20th but still nothing in my account. Reading through all these responses is both reassuring and frustrating at the same time. It's crazy that this is such a common problem with the PA UC system. I guess I'll wait a few more days based on what everyone's saying about the 7-10 day timeline, but man, it's nerve-wracking when you're counting on that money!

•@Kara Yoshida I totally get how nerve-wracking it is! I was in the exact same boat just a few days ago. Based on what Daryl mentioned about the processing issue affecting payments from April 16-19, and since yours is from April 20th, you might be in the next wave of delayed payments. The waiting is absolutely the worst part, especially when bills are due. Hopefully yours comes through in the next day or two! Keep us posted when it arrives.

This thread has been so helpful! I'm currently waiting on a payment that's been showing "paid" since April 22nd, so it sounds like I'm part of the ongoing Treasury processing delays that @Daryl Bright mentioned. It's honestly a relief to know this is a system-wide issue and not something wrong with my specific claim. The stress of waiting for money you desperately need is just awful - especially when the system makes it look like everything is fine on their end. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and timelines. It really helps to know we're not alone in this mess!
