Anyone received PA UC payment dated 1/2/25 yet? Still waiting on mine

I've got a payment date of 1/2/25 showing in my PA UC portal but the money hasn't hit my Money Network card yet. Usually it shows up by now! Anyone else with the same payment date already get theirs? Starting to get nervous since rent is due and I was counting on this payment. Is there a delay because of the holiday maybe?

Same boat. Mine says 1/2 payment date but nothing on my card yet. Holidays always mess things up.

Good to know I'm not alone! How long do you think we should wait before panicking?

Usually takes 2-3 business days after the payment date for it to hit your card. With New Years being a holiday, banks are probably running behind. I'd expect it tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Thanks for this! I'll try to be patient until Friday then.

Just checked again and still nothing. What time did yours come through? Maybe they're doing it in batches.

Holiday delays are normal with PA UC payments. The payment date is when UC processes it, not when it arrives on your card. Since January 1st was a holiday, many financial institutions are backed up. If it doesn't arrive by Friday, THEN you can start worrying. I've been through this cycle many times over the past two benefit years.

Thanks for explaining! This is only my second month on unemployment so I'm still learning how everything works. The waiting is just stressful when bills are due.

You could try calling PA UC to check on the status. I spent 3 HOURS yesterday trying to get through just to be disconnected when I finally reached someone!!!! So frustrating!!! They need to fix their phone system!!

I had the same issue trying to reach them about my open issue. Tried for days with no luck. Then I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to a rep in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Was definitely worth it to finally talk to someone instead of getting busy signals all day.

This happens every holiday. My brother works for a bank and says all the ACH transfers get backed up after federal holidays. Its not just unemployment its everything. One time my paycheck was 3 days late after 4th of July weekend and I about had a heart attack lol

For future reference, always give payments 2-3 business days after holidays to process. Also, if you're cutting it close with bills, remember you can request your payment method be changed from direct deposit to paper check or vice versa through your dashboard. Some people find one method faster than the other depending on their bank. Glad your payment arrived!

That's good advice about the payment methods! I didn't know you could switch between them. Might try paper check next time to see if it's any faster. Thanks again everyone!
