Money Network card payment delay - certified 2/14 but funds not showing
Is anyone else having issues with payments not showing up on their Money Network card? My claim history shows payment was issued yesterday (2/14/25) but nothing has appeared in my Money Network account yet. I certified early morning on 2/14 too, and normally the funds are available within hours after the status changes to 'paid'. It's been over 24 hours now and I'm getting anxious since my rent is due Monday. Called EDD but couldn't get through (of course). Anyone experiencing similar delays with Money Network lately? Is this normal or should I be worried?

chil out man it takes 24-48 hours for mony to hit the card sometimes. EDD issues payment doesn't mean Money network instantly has it. give it till tomorrow afternoon

Thanks! That's a bit reassuring. I've just never had it take this long before - usually it's there same day. Guess I'm just stressing because of bills piling up.

Money Network payments typically post within 24-48 hours after EDD shows 'issued' status, but occasionally it can take up to 72 hours, especially if you certified during a holiday week or on weekends. The delay you're experiencing is within normal timeframes, though I understand the anxiety when you need those funds.\n\nI'd recommend checking your Money Network account tomorrow morning - most payments that don't arrive same-day typically post overnight. If you don't see it by Monday, then it would be worth trying to contact EDD directly.

This is super helpful, thank you! I don't think it's a holiday issue but good to know 72 hours can be normal. I'll check first thing tomorrow morning.

I've had this exact issue three times in the past year. In my experience, it depends on WHEN you certify on your certification day. If you do it after noon, it often doesn't get processed until late afternoon, and then Money Network sometimes doesn't post it until their next business processing cycle.\n\nHere's what I've found works best: always certify between 12:01am-8:00am on your certification day. This puts you in the earliest processing batch at EDD, and Money Network usually posts these payments same day. Since you certified early morning, this is a bit unusual, so give it until tomorrow morning before worrying.

It's not officially documented anywhere, but I've tested it myself over multiple certification periods and tracked the results. Certifying early definitely makes a difference in how quickly the payment gets processed.

NOBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT THIS but Money Network has been having TONS of delays lately!!! My last TWO payments took 3 DAYS to show up even though EDD said

Oh great, that's concerning. Did you eventually get your payments without having to do anything extra, or did you have to contact someone?

Yeah I got them eventually but it was STRESSFUL waiting with bills due. Nobody at EDD could even explain WHY there were delays. Just had to wait it out. 😡

I had the same thing happen last week my payment was issued on Tuesday but didn't appear until Thursday night so don't stress to much it's probably on its way!!

Just checked out that video - seems like a lifesaver if I need to call on Monday! Bookmarking that site in case my payment doesn't show up by then. Thanks for sharing this.

Just wanted to add: a good workaround for future certifications is to set up direct deposit instead of using the Money Network card. Direct deposit typically posts 1-2 days faster in my experience, and you avoid any Money Network processing delays. You can update your payment preference in your UI Online account under \

UPDATE: My payment finally showed up this morning! Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I'm definitely going to look into switching to direct deposit to avoid this stress next time.

Glad to hear it came through! Direct deposit is definitely more reliable in my experience too.

Direct deposit isn't always better tho! My credit union takes LONGER than Money Network sometimes because they hold EDD deposits for fraud verification. Just depends on your bank!
