PA UC payment delayed despite agent promise - anyone else have payment scheduled then nothing arrives?

So frustrated with PA unemployment right now! Spoke with a UC agent this morning who PROMISED my payment would hit my Money Network card by tomorrow. This is the third time they've told me this exact same thing! Last week they said it was 'in process' and would arrive within 2 days - nothing showed up. Week before that, they said there was a 'system delay' but payment was approved. Still nothing! Has anyone else been told their payment was coming only to have it never show up? I've been filing my weekly claims perfectly for 6 weeks, all approved according to the website, but haven't received a single payment yet. Starting to think they're just telling me whatever to get me off the phone. I have bills due next week and landlord is getting impatient...

Same thing happened to me back in January! They kept saying "it'll be there tomorrow" for THREE WEEKS straight. What finally worked was contacting my state rep's office. They have special contacts at UC who can actually fix things. I got my $2,400 in back payments two days after my state rep's office made a call. Definitely worth trying!

Really?? I never thought about contacting my state rep. Do I just call their main office? Did you have to provide a bunch of documentation or anything?

The system is totally broken right now. My claim got stuck in the same loop for 7 weeks. The website showed "payment issued" but NOTHING ever hit my account. Turns out there was an "open issue" that nobody bothered to tell me about!!! The agents on the phone just read from scripts and have NO IDEA what's actually happening with your claim. Don't trust what they say about "tomorrow" - they just want to end the call.

Ugh that's exactly what I was afraid of. Did you ever get your payments? How did you finally resolve it?

Check your payment method on your UC account. I had a similar issue and discovered the system had randomly switched from direct deposit to debit card without notifying me! So payments were going to a card I never received. Log into your dashboard, go to "View/Manage Account Information" and then "Payment Information" to verify.

Just checked and it definitely shows Money Network card, which is what I requested. So that's not the issue unfortunately.

what time did u talk to them? if it was after like 3pm then it def won't process til tomorrow and then takes another day to actually hit ur card. their system is slow af

I called at like 10:30am, so that shouldn't be the issue. But yeah, their system is ridiculously slow!

I struggled with this EXACT same situation last month! Called every day for two weeks, and every agent gave me a different story about when my payment would arrive. NONE of them were telling the truth. I was getting desperate after missing rent. I finally got through to someone who could actually help by using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They got me connected to a UC rep in about 20 minutes when I'd been trying for DAYS on my own. The agent they connected me with actually looked into my claim deeply and found that my identity verification hadn't been properly processed even though the website showed everything was fine. Got all my back payments 3 days later. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

Yeah it's legit. Was skeptical too but was desperate after weeks of getting nowhere. They don't handle your claim or anything - they just get you connected to an actual UC agent without the hours of busy signals and hangups.

There's actually a specific code that shows up in the system when payments are truly processed versus just "approved." Most tier 1 agents don't know to check this or don't have access to see it. Next time you call, specifically ask if your payment has a "TPS clearance code" (Transaction Processing System). If they say no or don't know what you're talking about, ask to speak with a claims examiner or supervisor who can check the actual payment status in the treasury system. Regular agents only see what you see on the portal basically.

This is super helpful! I've never heard of the TPS clearance code before. Definitely going to ask about this specifically next time I call. Thank you!

This is partially correct but misleading. There is a transaction code but it's not called "TPS clearance code" - it's actually a treasury warrant number. And most agents CAN see it if they look in the right place. The real problem is most don't bother checking the treasury status because it takes extra steps.

It's been way more than 3-4 business days since they first told me payment was coming. Going on 3 weeks now!

After reading through this thread, it sounds like you have an unresolved issue with your claim that regular agents aren't seeing or aren't telling you about. Your best options are: 1. Contact your state representative's office as mentioned above 2. Use a service like Claimyr to get connected to a higher-tier agent who can see what's really happening 3. Request to speak to a claims examiner specifically (not just any agent) when you call 4. Check for any correspondence in your UC portal that might indicate an issue (sometimes they send notices that don't trigger email alerts) Don't wait for the promised payment that might never come - be proactive and escalate this now, especially with bills coming due.

Thank you so much for laying this out clearly. I think I'll try the state rep route first thing tomorrow, and if that doesn't work quickly I'll try Claimyr. You're right that I can't afford to just keep waiting and hoping. Really appreciate the advice!
