When will PA UC actually deposit our payments? Stuck in limbo for weeks!
I swear this is beyond ridiculous! Been filing my weekly claims on time for the last 3 weeks since I got approved, and STILL haven't seen a single cent hit my Money Network card. Online status just says 'payment pending' with no explanation. Anyone else stuck waiting forever for their money to actually show up? My rent is due next week and I'm seriously stressing out. Do they expect us to just magically pay bills with no income? Called the UC office probably 50+ times but just get that stupid busy signal everytime.

Mine was like that too last month. Turns out my employer contested my claim even though I was laid off! Once I called and actually got through to someone, they fixed it within 2 days and released all my back payments at once. Keep trying to call first thing in the morning - like literally at 7:59am right before they open.

•OMG I didn't even think about my employer contesting! They laid off our whole department though, so that would be crazy. Did your online account show anything about it being contested or was it a surprise when you called?

This could be a couple different issues. First, check if your payment method is set correctly in your dashboard. Sometimes the system defaults to paper check even if you requested the Money Network card. Also, there could be an unresolved issue that's not showing up in your portal - this happens quite often. To resolve this, you'll need to speak with an actual claims examiner. They're the only ones who can see what's holding up your payments and release them if everything is in order. Most importantly, continue filing your weekly claims on time even if you're not getting paid yet. You'll get all back payments once the issue is resolved.

•Thanks for the detailed info! Just checked again and my payment method is definitely set to the card. I guess I HAVE to talk to someone then... ugh.

I was in the exact same boat back in January. Kept getting the busy signal every time I called until I found Claimyr. It's a service that basically calls PA UC for you and connects you when an agent answers. Cost me a bit but was totally worth it to finally talk to someone and get my money. Check out their site at claimyr.com - there's a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The agent told me my claim had an 'open issue' that needed manual review even though nothing showed up in my portal. They fixed it while I was on the phone.

Important info that might help: PA UC has been experiencing system delays since their upgrade in March 2025. Many claims that show 'payment pending' are in a processing queue. However, there are several things that could cause payment delays: 1. Identity verification issues (check if you need to complete IDme) 2. Incomplete work search records 3. Employer protest period (employers have 7 days to contest) 4. Banking/payment method verification If you've been approved and your weekly claims are getting accepted, the money should eventually come through. However, any claim with even a minor issue gets flagged for manual review, which is where the backlog happens. Keep filing weekly claims while you try to resolve this. When the issue is fixed, all eligible back weeks will be paid together.

•Thanks for this detailed breakdown. I did complete IDme verification when I first applied and have been submitting my work search activities every week. I'm going to keep trying to reach someone on the phone since that seems to be the only way to actually fix this.

•I'm starting to feel the same way! It's so frustrating when you're doing everything right but still can't get paid.

UPDATE: I finally got through this morning after calling around 20 times! The claims rep said my payments were on hold because they needed to verify my last employer's information, even though nothing showed up online about this. She released all three weeks of payments while I was on the phone, and said they should be on my card within 2-3 business days. Keep trying to call!

•Great news! This is very common - the online portal often doesn't show the specific hold reason. Glad you got it resolved!

•OMG AMAZING!! Congrats! This gives me hope. I'm going to keep trying to call tomorrow morning. Did you do anything special to get through or just keep redialing?

•Just kept redialing over and over from 8am until about 9:30 when I finally got through. So annoying but worth it!
