WHY does PA make EVERYTHING so complicated?? I swear they do this on purpose to stop people from getting their money. I had to call 47 TIMES before someone picked up to help with my card issue. The whole system is broken and nobody cares!!
Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the exact same issue right now with my Money Network card saying my account is unregistered. Been trying to figure it out all morning.
Yes! Finally got it working yesterday. The trick of pressing 0 twice worked to get me to a human. Turns out there was a typo in my date of birth in their system that was causing the verification to fail. The rep fixed it and walked me through the registration process. Now I can access everything online too. Definitely keep trying to reach someone directly!
For anyone dealing with CareerLink frustrations, here's what worked for me: I attended one of their virtual workshops (counts as a work search activity!) and asked the presenter directly about the expired job listings. She explained that they're required to keep listings up for a certain period even after the position is filled, but gave us tips on identifying the most current ones. She also shared her email and said we could contact her directly for current listings - way more helpful than the website!
To answer the question about virtual job fairs: According to current PA UC guidelines, a virtual job fair counts as ONE work search activity, regardless of how many employers you speak with. However, if you follow up with specific employers after the fair with formal applications, each of those can count as separate activities in subsequent weeks. Also, attending a CareerLink workshop counts as one activity, posting your resume on an employment website counts as one, and creating a profile on a job search site counts as one. You need a minimum of two per week, but it's always good to do more.
Just wanted to update everyone - I filed my weekly claim this morning (Sunday) and just got notification that my payment has already been processed! Looks like they're definitely working ahead for the holiday. Thanks for all your help!
My neighbor went thru something similar and what really helped was having written statements from coworkers who witnessed the harassment. Do you have anyone who would be willing to write a statement for you?
Just to clarify something important: if the examiner determines you quit without good cause, they will NOT make you repay the benefits you received while on reduced hours before quitting. Those benefits were properly paid based on your eligibility at that time. The quit determination only affects benefits going forward from your last day of work.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I'm on day 22 now, so it sounds like I'm still within the normal timeframe (even though it feels like forever!). I'm going to keep filing my weekly claims and if nothing changes by next week, I'll try using that Claimyr service to get through to someone at UC. Really appreciate all your help and suggestions - this waiting game is so stressful when bills are due!

•That sounds like a good plan. Just make sure you're completing and documenting your required work search activities each week (applying to jobs, attending workshops, etc.). The last thing you want is to finally get approved and then discover you're missing some of those requirements. Good luck!
