Did any of these suggestions work for you? I'm curious because I'm helping my brother with the same issue right now.
For anyone else finding this thread with similar issues - the official PA UC guide for ID.me troubleshooting is actually pretty helpful: https://www.uc.pa.gov/Pages/IDme.aspx (replace this with whatever format is required). Key point they mention that others missed: after verifying with ID.me, you must wait at least 24 hours before logging back into your UC account for the systems to sync properly.
Just to clarify for everyone in this thread - there are several common reasons claims get stuck in pending status for weeks: 1. Identity verification issues (IDme) 2. Employer response discrepancies 3. Missing work search documentation 4. Prior overpayment flags on your account 5. Wage investigation needed If you can get through to PA UC (either directly or via Claimyr), ask specifically which of these issues is affecting your claim. Different problems require different documentation to resolve. Also, while waiting for resolution, remember to keep filing your weekly claims even though you're not receiving payments yet. Once your claim is approved, you'll receive all eligible back weeks in a lump sum payment to your Money Network card or direct deposit.
This is really helpful - thank you! I have been continuing to file my weekly claims but wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do. I'm hoping it's not an identity verification issue since I completed the IDme process right after applying. When I do speak with someone (either through my rep or directly), I'll specifically ask which of these issues is holding things up.
Last winter I was waiting forever too and tried everything. Funny enough what ended up working was reaching out on the PA UC Facebook page. I sent them a direct message explaining my situation (without any personal info) and they got back to me asking for my claim number through private message. Within 48 hours someone from UC called me! Might be worth trying alongside the state rep approach.
Let us know how it goes! And don't give up - the system is DESIGNED to be confusing and make you want to quit trying. That's how they save money. KEEP CALLING and document EVERYTHING!
Quick update for anyone finding this thread with similar issues: PA UC is currently experiencing higher than normal processing times. If your weeks are showing as "in progress" for more than 21 days, you should call the service center. A common reason for delays is income verification, especially if you had variable income or worked for multiple employers during your base year. Having your employment and income documentation ready when you call can help expedite the process.

To answer your original question directly: Yes, MLK Day will delay payments by one business day since it's a federal bank holiday. If you normally receive payment on Tuesday, expect it Wednesday. Here's the complete info on how holidays affect UC payments: 1) If you file your weekly certification on Sunday as usual, PA UC will still process your claim that day 2) However, the ACH transfer to banks doesn't initiate until the next business day 3) Since Monday is a holiday, the transfer won't start until Tuesday 4) Most banks then take 24 hours to post the deposit, meaning Wednesday delivery If you're concerned about making rent, you might want to talk to your landlord in advance and explain the situation. Most are understanding about verified payment delays due to federal holidays.

•Really appreciate the detailed explanation. I'll definitely let my landlord know ahead of time. I wish the UC website would just tell us this stuff clearly!

This happens every holiday and it always stresses me out too! Last year I switched to the Money Network card and it sometimes posts a day faster than my old direct deposit did. Just an option to consider for the future.
