If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

After reading through this whole thread, I wanted to update that my sister-in-law used that Claimyr service I mentioned above yesterday and said it worked for her too. She had an issue with her benefit year ending and needed to speak to someone. Said she was connected in about 20 minutes. Might be worth trying if you keep having trouble getting through the regular way.

I'm going to try calling one more time Monday morning, and if I still can't get through, I'll check out that service. At this point, I just need to talk to someone ASAP before I fall behind on bills.

Make sure when you do get through that you ask them to document everything in your file. With contractor changes, sometimes they need supervisor approval to process these claims. Ask if they can flag your case for expedited review based on the documentation you've provided. And definitely keep filing those weekly claims!

I will! I've been keeping detailed notes of all my calls and attempts too, just in case. Thanks everyone for all the help and advice!

I had this happen to me with a retail job last year! One thing nobody mentioned yet - make sure you keep doing your job search activities that week too. Even though you worked 8.5 hours, you still need to complete your work search activities (applying to jobs, etc.) and record them for that week. I forgot to do this once when I worked part-time and almost got disqualified.

Oh! I hadn't even thought of that. Thank you for the reminder - I'll definitely keep up with my job search activities that week too.

Regarding your question about how many hours would disqualify you - there's no specific hour limit. It's based on your earnings compared to your weekly benefit amount (WBA) plus the partial benefit credit (PBC). You can work as many or as few hours as offered, but if your gross earnings exceed your WBA + PBC for that week, you wouldn't receive benefits for that specific week. Your claim remains open though. With your $487 WBA, your PBC is approximately $146 (30% of your WBA), so you could earn up to $633 in a week and still receive some UC payment. At minimum wage, that's about 57 hours, but obviously fewer hours at a higher wage.

Thank you for breaking down the math! That really helps me understand the system better. I make $19/hour so 8.5 hours would be about $161.50 - well under that threshold. This makes me feel a lot better about accepting the shift.

The SAME THING happened to my neighbor and it turned out there was an identity verification issue that wasn't showing up on the dashboard. Check your husband's email spam folder for messages from ID.me or a PA UC identity verification request. Sometimes they send these and if you don't complete them within like 7 days, they just keep denying you without clearly explaining why. Good luck!

Just checked all his email folders and there's nothing from ID.me! But maybe it was sent and deleted? I'll have him log into the ID.me website directly to see if there's a pending verification. Thank you for this tip!

Update on my earlier comment - if you're having trouble with the appeal or getting through on the phone, contact your state representative's office. They have dedicated staff who can intervene with the UC office on your behalf. I've seen many stuck claims suddenly get resolved once a state rep's office gets involved. Just search for "PA state representative [your zip code]" to find yours.

This is a great idea. I wouldn't have thought to contact our state rep. I'll try this along with the Claimyr service mentioned above. At this point we need to try everything as the bills are piling up. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

Typical PA unemployment... system always breaks right when people need it most! I've been dealing with these glitches since January and EVERY SINGLE TIME something goes wrong with my claim. Anyone notice how these "outages" always happen right when payment processing would normally occur? Pretty convenient for them to hold onto our money an extra day or two if you ask me. 🙄

While frustrating, these outages are typically due to system maintenance or technical issues rather than deliberate delays. Payment processing actually runs on a different system than the public-facing portal. If you're experiencing recurring problems with your claim, I'd recommend requesting a callback through your dashboard or asking for a claim review. The timing of maintenance is usually planned to minimize disruption to the majority of claimants.

I just remembered this happened to me back in December too. I panicked and tried logging in like 50 times which was dumb because then my account got flagged for suspicious activity lol. Had to reset my whole PIN and everything. So word of advice don't spam the login button like I did!!

Thanks for the warning! I only tried twice before posting here. Glad I didn't keep trying or I might have locked myself out too!

Here's the official situation: The Pennsylvania Treasury Department experienced a processing delay that has affected unemployment compensation paper checks issued between Monday and Wednesday this week. This is confirmed on their website under System Alerts (though it's not prominently displayed). If your payment status shows "payment issued," your check has been processed and is in the mail system. Most affected claimants should receive their checks by Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime: 1. Continue checking your mail daily 2. Don't request a replacement check until at least 7 business days have passed 3. Keep filing your weekly claims as scheduled despite this delay 4. Consider switching to direct deposit for faster, more reliable payments If Tuesday comes and you still don't have your check, then you should contact the UC service center for assistance.

Thank you, this is really helpful! We'll keep checking the mail and wait until at least Tuesday before panicking. Appreciate the clear explanation!
