PA UC Money Network card arrival time after being approved - still waiting after 10 days
So I finally got my claim approved after fighting with the system for almost 2 months (they kept saying I didn't provide proper work separation info even though I uploaded everything twice). My dashboard updated on January 4th showing I was cleared to receive payment and my claim status changed from 'pending' to 'benefit payment transfer.' It's now January 14th and I STILL haven't received my Money Network debit card in the mail. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for the card to arrive after being approved? I'm getting nervous because my rent is due soon and my landlord isn't exactly the patient type. I tried calling the UC service center but got the dreaded busy signal for two days straight.

it took almost 3 weeks for mine to come! the website says 7-10 business days but thats total BS. they dont tell u that the payment approval and actually mailing the card are two totally different departments. i was approved Dec 12 and didnt get my card til Jan 2. keep checking ur mailbox and maybe call the Money Network directly instead of UC

•3 WEEKS?! There's no way I can wait that long. Do you have the Money Network number? I couldn't find it anywhere on the PA UC website.

The Money Network debit cards are mailed 7-10 business days after your initial payment is processed. Since your approval was on January 4th, and today is January 14th, you're just at the 10 day mark including weekends. I'd give it until at least January 18th before getting too concerned. Remember, business days don't include weekends or holidays. You can check if the payment was actually processed by looking at your Payment History in your UC dashboard. If it shows as "paid" with a transaction number, then the card should be on its way. The Money Network customer service number is 888-233-5916 if you want to check the status directly with them.

Has anyone else noticed they're SO MUCH SLOWER sending these cards out now? Back in 2020 during COVID, I swear I got mine in like 4 days after approval. Now they make us wait forever!! Typical PA bureaucracy 🙄

•yeah everything about PA UC is slower now!! I filed last week and my claim is still "under review" whatever that means. the whole system needs an overhaul if you ask me.

Thanks for the info about the business days. I guess I'm just at the 8 business day mark if you don't count weekends. My payment history does show "paid" with a transaction number, so that's at least reassuring. I'll try calling the Money Network number tomorrow. I just wish they would be more clear about the timeline when they approve you!

I went through this exact same situation last month. What worked for me was using Claimyr to get through to a PA UC agent directly. I was in the same boat - approved but no card after almost 2 weeks. The agent was able to verify the card had been mailed and gave me the tracking information. Turns out it was delayed by USPS. I found the service at claimyr.com and they have a video demo here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. It was worth it to get actual confirmation instead of just waiting and wondering. The UC agent also told me I could set up direct deposit for future payments so I wouldn't need to deal with the card delays again.

•I've never heard of this service before. Does it actually work? I've been trying to call UC for two days with no luck.

•Yes, it really works. I was skeptical too but I got through to a real person in about 20 minutes after trying on my own for days. They don't answer questions directly - they just help you reach an actual UC agent who can check on your specific situation.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that when the card DOES arrive, you have to activate it immediately!! I made the mistake of waiting a couple days to activate mine because I was busy, and it triggered some kind of security protocol where I had to verify my identity AGAIN. Such a headache! Also make sure to create your Money Network online account right away so you can track your balance and payments.

UPDATE: I decided to try that Claimyr service someone mentioned and actually got through to a UC agent! The agent confirmed my card was mailed on January 7th (not the 4th when I was approved). She said there was a backlog of card requests and that's why it took a few extra days to actually send it. According to her, I should receive it by tomorrow or Friday at the latest. She also helped me set up direct deposit for future payments so I won't have to deal with this card stress again! Thanks everyone for your help!

•Great news! Setting up direct deposit is definitely the way to go for future payments. Much more reliable than waiting for mail.
