Missing PA UC payments for several weeks - payment schedule showing gaps in benefits

Been dealing with a mess of a payment schedule with my PA unemployment. Here's what I've received so far: 5/11/25: Got a lump sum payment 5/18/25: Received weekly payment 6/26/25: Got another weekly payment Last week: Payment went to Money Network card This week: Payment went to Money Network card again But there's clearly 5-6 weeks MISSING between May and June! I'm eligible for those weeks and I've been filing every single week without fail. I've been calling PA UC constantly but either get a busy signal or get disconnected after waiting forever. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Has anyone else dealt with missing weeks in their payment schedule? Who do I actually need to talk to about getting my missing payments?

This is unfortunately pretty common with PA UC right now. Those missing weeks are probably stuck with an 'open issue' status in their system. The best way to resolve this is to speak directly with a claims examiner. Try calling right when they open at 8:00 AM - that's when you have the best chance of getting through. Also make sure you check your dashboard to see if there are any outstanding tasks or questionnaires they need you to complete that might be holding up those payments.

Thanks for the tip! I've been trying at different times of day but haven't tried right at 8AM yet. My dashboard doesn't show any outstanding tasks... that's what's so frustrating. Everything looks like it should be processing normally on my end. Do you know if there's any specific department I should ask for when I call?

Did you ever get it resolved? If so, HOW?? I'm desperate at this point!

What you're experiencing is likely related to a payment interruption due to an automatic quarterly review. PA UC does these every few months to verify your eligibility is still valid. When this happens, payments can be held until the review is complete, but they SHOULD be paid retroactively once resolved. Check your correspondence section in the portal - there might be a notice about this review that you missed. Also, when you file your weekly claims, are all weeks showing as "pending" or some other status?

I just checked my correspondence and there's nothing about a quarterly review. All my weekly claims just say "claim filed" with no other status. That's part of what's so confusing! There's no indication of a problem anywhere in the system that I can see.

I had missing weeks back in February and it took FOREVER to get them paid. Calling the regular UC number was useless - always busy or disconnected. I finally started calling my state representative's office and they helped contact UC on my behalf. Worth a try if you're getting nowhere with the normal channels. The system is completely broken!!!

That's a good idea about contacting my state rep. I hadn't thought of that. The system really is a disaster right now. It's crazy that they can just skip paying people for weeks at a time with no explanation!

Yes, I've been submitting all my job search activities every single week. I even keep a backup record of them on my computer just in case. That's not the issue here.

After dealing with similar payment gaps last month, I finally found a way to actually reach a human at PA UC. I used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) and they got me connected to an agent in about 20 minutes after I'd spent WEEKS trying on my own. The agent was able to see that my missing payments were stuck in the system and released them that same day. There's a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 Definitely worth it considering how impossible it is to get through on your own right now. The UC rep told me they're extremely backlogged with similar cases.

It worked for me! I was skeptical at first too but after trying to call for 3 weeks straight with no luck, I was desperate. Got connected to someone who could actually help within the same day.

One more thing to check - since you mentioned going from direct deposit to the Money Network card, sometimes there can be payment routing issues when your payment method changes. It's possible the missing weeks were attempted to be paid using an outdated payment method. When you do reach a representative, specifically ask them to check if there were any returned payments or payment method errors during that gap period.

That's a great point! I did switch payment methods after having some issues with direct deposit. I'll definitely ask about that when I finally get through to someone. Thank you!

Don't get your hopes up. I've been waiting on 7 weeks of backpay since MARCH and every time I manage to get through they tell me "it's processing" or "a specialist needs to review it" or some other excuse. The whole system is designed to make people give up!!!! They're hoping you'll just stop trying to collect what they legally owe you.

While I understand your frustration, this isn't entirely accurate. The system is definitely overwhelmed and inefficient, but payments do eventually process. The key is to be persistent and make sure you're speaking with the right department. Regular call center staff often can't help with payment release issues - you need to specifically ask for the payments department or a claims examiner.

UPDATE: Finally got through to someone at UC this morning! Used that Claimyr service someone mentioned above and it actually worked - got me past the busy signals. The agent said there was a "benefit payment audit flag" on my account that was holding everything up. She released the payments and said I should see the missing weeks deposited within 2-3 business days. Will update again when/if they actually arrive. Thanks everyone for your help!

That's awesome news! Really glad you were able to get it resolved. The "benefit payment audit flag" makes total sense - that's probably what was causing the system to skip those weeks even though everything looked normal on your end. Definitely keep us posted on whether the payments actually come through as promised. This gives me hope for my own missing weeks issue!

Wow, so glad you got it figured out! I've been dealing with something similar for the past month and was starting to lose hope. That "benefit payment audit flag" thing is probably what's happening to a lot of us. I'm definitely going to try that Claimyr service tomorrow morning. Did they charge you anything for helping you get connected? And thanks for coming back to update us - most people disappear once their issue gets resolved!
