Second Money Network Card still missing after 12 days - EDD payment issues!
I'm getting so frustrated with this Money Network Card situation. My first card supposedly went out in January but never arrived at my home. After waiting 3 weeks, I called EDD and requested a replacement. They said they ordered a second card for me on February 29th, and it's now been 12 business days with NOTHING in my mailbox! We double-checked my address in UI Online and it's 100% correct. Meanwhile I have $4,800 sitting in an account I can't access and bills piling up. Has anyone else dealt with these ridiculous delays? Any suggestions on what I should do next? I've tried calling Money Network but their customer service is a nightmare to get through.

Same thing happened to me last month! First card never showed up, second card took forever. I was about ready to lose my mind. Here's what actually worked - call Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get connected to an EDD rep FAST. They got me through to someone who could actually help with the Money Network issue in like 10 minutes when I'd been trying for days. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km. The EDD rep I talked to was able to check exactly where my card was in the system and expedite shipping. Had my card 3 days later!

•Thanks for the suggestion! Did they charge you to use that service? I'm desperate at this point but also trying to save every penny since I can't access my benefits.

Unfortunately, this is pretty common with Money Network cards. Here are the steps you need to take: 1. Contact Money Network directly at 1-866-320-8699 to report the missing card. They can tell you exactly when it was mailed and verify your address. 2. If it's been more than 10 business days since the mailing date, request that they cancel the outstanding card and issue a new one with expedited shipping (they CAN do this, but you need to specifically ask). 3. While waiting, see if you can set up direct deposit in your UI Online account for future payments - much more reliable than the card system. One thing to check - are you in an apartment building or somewhere with shared mailboxes? Cards sometimes get delivered to the wrong box or returned if your name isn't clearly labeled on your mailbox.

•Thank you for these detailed steps! I'm in a house, not an apartment, so that shouldn't be the issue. I'll try calling Money Network again tomorrow morning and specifically ask about expedited shipping. I didn't know that was an option! I've tried setting up direct deposit but for some reason it says I'm not eligible. Maybe because I've never received my card to complete the account setup?

•This is why I always tell people to switch to direct deposit ASAP. The Money Network cards are nothing but trouble. I can't believe EDD still uses them as the default payment method.

I've helped several people with this exact issue. The problem is that Money Network and EDD don't communicate well with each other, and their tracking systems are completely separate. Here's what most people don't know: When you request a replacement card, the first one is automatically cancelled, but any funds already sent to it remain attached to that account number. The second card has a new account number, and only NEW payments will go to it. You need to speak with an EDD representative who can verify: 1. Which card(s) have been issued to you 2. The balance on each card 3. Whether any cards show as "activated" in their system If you can't get through to EDD on your own, you might want to try a service like Claimyr that others have mentioned. In my experience, getting to an actual EDD rep is the only way to fully resolve complicated Money Network issues.

•This is really helpful information! I had no idea the cards would have different account numbers. That definitely explains some of the confusion when I called Money Network - they kept saying I had a $0 balance but EDD's website shows I have payments issued. I'll definitely try to get through to an actual EDD rep to sort this out.

•Wow, this is exactly why the system is so frustrating! They don't tell you any of this important information. Is this mentioned anywhere on the EDD website? I've never seen it explained this clearly.

•That's a good idea! I just signed up for Informed Delivery. At least now I'll know if it's shown as delivered but doesn't make it to me. Thanks for the suggestion!

I went through this EXACT situation in January. It's incredibly frustrating. Make sure you're checking with everyone in your household to see if maybe someone got the mail and put it somewhere? My teenager had put mine in a stack of "junk mail" because the envelope looks really generic and doesn't say EDD anywhere on it. Also, something to be aware of - they will NOT send a replacement card to a different address than what's on file with EDD, even if you verify your identity six ways to Sunday. So if there's any chance you have an old address in the system, fix that right away through UI Online.

•I live alone, so unfortunately that's not the issue. And I double-checked my address in UI Online and it's correct. The rep I spoke with at Money Network confirmed they have the right address too. It's just disappearing somewhere in transit, I guess? So frustrating!

Quick update question - has your UI Online account been showing "paid" status for the weeks you've certified? If it's still pending, the money might not have been transferred to the Money Network card yet, which would explain why you can't access it. Just something to check on.

•Yes, all my weeks show as "paid" in UI Online. That's why it's so frustrating - I know the money is there, just sitting in an account I can't access because I don't have the physical card!

Did you get this resolved? I'm curious if any of the suggestions worked for you. The Money Network card system has been a disaster for so many people during my time on unemployment.

•I finally got through to EDD yesterday using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. The rep was able to see that both cards were sent to the correct address but got returned to Money Network for some reason. They're sending a third card with expedited shipping and the rep noted my account. Fingers crossed this one actually arrives!
