How long for EDD Money Network card to arrive? Mine's 2+ weeks late

I've been waiting for my EDD Money Network card for almost 3 weeks now. My UI Online account shows payments were issued, but I still haven't received the actual debit card in the mail. The website says something about 7-10 business days, but it's been way longer than that. I'm getting really worried because I have rent due next week and can't access my benefits. Has anyone recently received their Money Network card? How long did yours take to arrive? And is there a way to track the card or contact someone who can actually help speed things up? I tried calling EDD but keep getting the "we're experiencing high call volume" message.

Mine took exactly 12 business days to arrive back in February. The timeline they give is definitely on the optimistic side! You can call Money Network directly at 1-866-320-8699 to check the status of your card. They might even be able to expedite a replacement if you explain your situation. Their customer service is WAY better than trying to reach EDD directly.

Thank you! I didn't realize we could call Money Network directly. Just to clarify - is that the same as Bank of America or completely different? The whole system is so confusing.

A MONTH?? That's insane! Did they do anything to speed it up or just wait it out?

The Money Network cards are shipped from a facility in Indiana, so depending on where you live in California, that could add extra days to the shipping time. My advice: 1. Double-check your address is correct in UI Online 2. Call Money Network (not EDD) at the number already mentioned 3. If you're really in a bind with rent, you can request an emergency expedited card for a fee (around $15) Also, don't confuse this with the old Bank of America cards. EDD switched to Money Network in 2022, and they're completely different systems.

Omg this!!! I kept calling BofA for WEEKS before someone told me they don't even handle EDD cards anymore!! What a waste of time 🤦‍♀️

The whole Money Network thing is a JOKE. I waited 23 days for my card while my bills piled up. Then when it finally arrived, the activation process was a nightmare! I spent TWO HOURS trying to get through their automated system because it kept saying my info "didn't match their records." And good luck trying to reach anyone at EDD to help. I called 47 TIMES in one day and couldn't get through!!!!

Sorry you had such a frustrating experience. For anyone having trouble reaching EDD, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent when I was dealing with my card issues. They have this service that calls EDD for you and gets you connected to a rep when one is available. Saved me hours of redial frustration. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km

Current shipping times for Money Network cards are running between 10-14 business days (so 2-3 calendar weeks). However, if you live in a rural area or there are USPS delays in your region, it can take longer. If it's been more than 15 business days since your first payment was issued, you should request a replacement card. This can be done through Money Network customer service (1-866-320-8699). When you call, make sure you have: - Your EDD Customer Account Number - Last 4 digits of your SSN - Your complete mailing address If you need funds urgently, you can request expedited shipping for around $15, which will deliver the card in 3 business days.

Thank you! This is super helpful. I'll call them first thing tomorrow morning. Do you know if they can tell me whether the original card was actually mailed or if it's stuck somewhere in processing?

hey my cousin had the same problem and she found out her card was sent to her old address even tho she updated her address in UI Online!! might wanna check that too

This is an excellent point. There's sometimes a disconnect between the address update in UI Online and what gets sent to Money Network. When you speak with Money Network customer service, specifically ask them to verify the mailing address they have on file.

One more thing to be aware of - if you had a BofA EDD card in the past, that has absolutely nothing to do with the new Money Network system. It's a completely different company and platform. I've seen people waste weeks trying to contact BofA about their new EDD payments, not realizing the switch happened.

my friend just went through this!!!! his card was sent to the wrong address even tho everything was correct in his account...check ur UI online and make sure all info is 100% updated

I remember when I first got laid off last year I had this exact problem! I was waiting and waiting for the card while my bills were piling up. What worked for me was calling my local assembly member's office. They have special contacts at EDD and can sometimes speed things up. Just Google "California assembly member" + your city to find yours. The lady at my assembly member's office was SOOO helpful and got my card expedited!

I'd never thought about contacting my assembly member! That's a great idea if the Money Network call doesn't resolve things. Thanks for the suggestion.

Mine showed up FINALLY after 17 days and I almost threw it away because the envelope looks like junk mail!! Be careful and check your mail thoroughly!

Oh wow, good to know! What does the envelope look like? I want to make sure I don't accidentally toss it.

It's just a plain white envelope with a Indianapolis, IN return address. Doesn't say Money Network or EDD on the outside at all! Super easy to miss!!

Any update? Were you able to contact Money Network and resolve this?

Yes! Thanks everyone for your help. I called Money Network this morning and it turns out my card was mailed 15 days ago but to my previous address (even though my UI Online had the correct one). They're sending a new one with expedited shipping and should be here by Friday. Such a relief!
