PA UC Money Network card app stuck in login loop - can't access funds

I'm so frustrated right now! My PA Money Network card just had my benefits deposited today, and suddenly the app won't let me login. It just keeps spinning in a circle like it's trying to process, then kicks me back to the login screen. I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, and even tried logging in from my tablet - SAME ISSUE on both devices! I need to lock my card ASAP because last time someone somehow made purchases before I could even touch the money. Has anyone else had this app glitch recently? Any tricks to getting in? The phone support line has me on hold for 45+ minutes already...

yep happened 2 me last month, its happening to everyone. money network app is trash tbh

Did you find any workaround? I've been on hold with them for over an hour now!

This is a known issue with the Money Network app after their recent update. There are a few things you can try: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies completely 2. Try using the website instead of the app (moneynetwork.com) 3. Try logging in during non-peak hours (early morning seems to work better) 4. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version If none of these work, you'll need to contact Money Network support directly, though I know their wait times are terrible right now. You can also contact PA UC and ask them to note your account that you're having Money Network access issues.

Thanks for these tips! I tried the website like you suggested and it WORKED! I was able to lock my card. Still can't get into the app but at least my money is safe now. Really appreciate the help!

i had this same problem!!! try turning off wifi and using mobile data to login. worked for me for some reason?? weird but worth a shot

This actually makes sense. Money Network's app has issues with certain WiFi security protocols. I've seen this with other banking apps too. Something about the way they verify secure connections.

THIS STUPID APP IS ALWAYS BROKEN!! This is the THIRD TIME this has happened to me this year! Money Network is the WORST service Pennsylvania could have chosen for our benefits. Last time this happened, I had to call them 14 TIMES before someone picked up!!! And then they said it was MY PHONE'S FAULT!! I'm so sick of this garbage system. Why can't they just direct deposit to our regular banks like normal states do???

you can set up direct deposit tho? i havent used the card in like a year. just go to your dashboard and set up direct deposit to your regular bank

If you're having trouble reaching Money Network support, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). It's a service that can help you connect with unemployment agents quickly. They have a video demo that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 I was stuck in a similar situation with my Money Network card last month, and after days of trying to get through, I used Claimyr and got connected to a PA UC agent in about 20 minutes. The agent was able to note my account about the Money Network issues and gave me direct contact information for their escalation team. Saved me hours of frustration!

does this actually work? seems kinda sketchy to me

This is a widespread issue with the Money Network app right now. I work with claimants regularly, and we've been seeing this problem since their latest update about 10 days ago. Here's what you need to know: 1. The website (moneynetwork.com) is more stable than the app currently 2. You can call Money Network at 888-320-8913 and use the automated system to lock your card without speaking to a representative 3. PA UC is aware of the issue and working with Money Network to resolve it 4. If you absolutely need a representative, try calling right when they open at 7am ET In the meantime, I strongly recommend setting up direct deposit to your personal bank account to avoid these card issues in the future. You can do this through your PA UC dashboard under "Payment Information.

THANK YOU! I didn't know about the automated system option. I just called the number you provided and was able to lock my card through the automated menu without waiting for a rep. You're a lifesaver!

why dont they fix this stuff? like every time benefits hit the system crashes. its like they dont test nothing b4 they update it

0 coins

EXACTLY!! They KNOW exactly when benefits are processed each week, but they STILL schedule updates right before paydays! It's like they're TRYING to make us all miserable!!

my cousin works for the state (not UC) and she said they're switching to a different card provider next year? anyone heard about this?

Yes, PA UC is planning to switch providers in late 2025, but nothing has been officially announced yet. The contract with Money Network is expiring and they're currently reviewing alternatives. In the meantime, everyone should set up direct deposit if possible.

not trying to hijack but has anyone elses card been randomly declining even with money on it? mine worked at walmart but then got denied at sheetz 10 mins later. had to call and they said it was flagged for fraud protection but i use it at sheetz all the time?

I've had that happen too! Sometimes it works at one place then gets declined somewhere else even though there's plenty of money on it. Their fraud detection seems really inconsistent.

Just as a follow-up for everyone having this issue - Money Network just posted on their status page that they're aware of the login loop problem and expect to have it fixed within 24-48 hours. In the meantime, using the website instead of the app is the recommended workaround.

Thanks for the update! At least they've acknowledged the problem. I'll stick with the website until they fix the app.

I had this exact same issue last week! The login loop is so frustrating. What worked for me was completely logging out of the website version first (if you were logged in), then clearing ALL your browser data (not just cache - cookies, stored passwords, everything), and then trying the app again. For some reason the app and website were conflicting with each other's login sessions. Also try force-closing the app completely before reopening it. The website workaround that others mentioned is definitely your best bet until they fix this mess though. Hope you get it sorted soon!

That's a really good point about the app and website conflicting! I never thought about that but it makes total sense. I've been jumping back and forth between both trying to get in. Going to try your method of completely clearing everything and see if that helps. Thanks for sharing what worked for you!

This is happening to so many people right now! I'm a new claimant and just got my first payment deposited yesterday, but I can't access the Money Network app either - same login loop issue. I tried the website like others suggested and it worked perfectly! Was able to check my balance and even set up some account alerts. Really glad I found this thread because I was starting to panic that something was wrong with my account. For anyone else dealing with this, definitely try the website at moneynetwork.com while they fix the app. Also going to look into setting up direct deposit like some of you mentioned - seems like that would save a lot of headaches in the future!

Welcome to the club of frustrated new claimants! I'm dealing with the same thing - got my benefits yesterday and couldn't get into the app at all. The website definitely works better right now. If you're thinking about direct deposit, I'd highly recommend it. I just set mine up through the PA UC dashboard and it was pretty straightforward. Takes a few business days to kick in but then you don't have to deal with all these Money Network app issues. Also pro tip - if you do need to use the card before direct deposit is set up, I found that using mobile data instead of WiFi sometimes helps with the app login issues. Good luck getting everything sorted!

I had this exact issue yesterday too! The login loop was driving me crazy. What finally worked for me was switching to incognito/private browsing mode on the website (moneynetwork.com) instead of using the app. Something about the cached login data was causing conflicts. Also, if you're still having trouble getting through to customer service, try calling right at 7am when they open - I got through in about 15 minutes that way. The automated card lock system that Emma mentioned (888-320-8913) is a lifesaver if you need to secure your funds quickly while dealing with this app mess. Hopefully they get this fixed soon because juggling between the website and broken app is getting old fast!

Thanks for mentioning the incognito mode trick! I just tried that and it worked perfectly - was able to log in and check my balance right away. I think you're right about the cached data causing issues. I've been switching back and forth between the app and regular browser which probably made things worse. The 7am calling tip is gold too - I'm definitely going to try that tomorrow if I need to reach them again. It's such a relief to know there are workarounds while they fix this mess!
