Money Network App fingerprint login keeps looping - Any EDD cardholders found a fix?
I'm at my wits' end with the Money Network app! I've been trying to check my EDD unemployment benefits for days now but keep getting stuck in this endless login loop. I scan my fingerprint, it seems to accept it, then immediately kicks me back to the login screen asking for fingerprint AGAIN. This cycle repeats 5-6 times before I give up. Sometimes it takes me 2-3 days of trying before I finally get in, and once I managed to wait a whole week before it worked! \n\nHas anyone else dealt with this frustrating issue? Is there some secret trick to make the app recognize your fingerprint consistently? I've already tried deleting and reinstalling the app twice, clearing cache, and even contacted their customer service (which was useless btw). This is driving me crazy because I need to transfer funds to pay rent this week. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Omg YES! The Money Network app is total garbage. I thought it was just my phone. I literally have to try logging in like 20 times before it works. What I've found is that if you close ALL other apps running in the background and restart your phone before trying, it works better. Still not perfect but better. Also try wiping your fingerprint scanner completely clean before scanning. The EDD should really switch to a better system!!!

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely try closing background apps and restarting before attempting login. It's somewhat comforting to know I'm not alone in this frustration, though it's ridiculous we have to jump through these hoops just to access our benefits.

I've been dealing with the Money Network app for over a year now and found some reliable workarounds for the fingerprint loop issue:\n\n1. Try using your PIN instead of fingerprint for a few logins, then switch back\n2. Go to your phone's settings and re-register your fingerprints completely\n3. Check if your phone has pending OS updates - sometimes this affects biometric authentication\n4. Make sure you have a stable internet connection when logging in\n5. Try logging in during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening)\n\nAlso worth noting that if you're absolutely desperate to access your funds, you can always use the Money Network website on a computer instead of the app. It's not as convenient but more reliable in my experience.

These are excellent suggestions! I hadn't even considered that my phone's OS might need updating. And I completely forgot about the website option - that might be my lifeline this week until I can get the app working. Really appreciate the detailed advice.

I'll definitely try clearing all data, not just the cache. I was worried about losing my account information if I did that, but if it worked for you, it's worth a shot. Thanks!

This happens to me ALL THE TIME!! So frustrating when you're just trying to pay bills. I've called Money Network support 3 times about this and they keep telling me it's my phone's problem not their app. Yeah right!! 🙄

Their customer service is worthless. I spent 45 minutes on hold last month for the same issue and the rep just read from a script about

This is a common issue with the Money Network app that many EDD recipients face. Based on my experience and research, here's what's actually happening:\n\nThe app has a poorly designed authentication system that struggles with session management. When the app tries to validate your fingerprint with their servers, it sometimes creates hanging sessions that conflict with new login attempts.\n\nThe most reliable fix I've found:\n\n1. Force stop the app (don't just close it)\n2. Clear app cache AND data\n3. Restart your phone completely\n4. Disable any VPN or battery optimization for the app\n5. Log in using your username/password initially\n6. Re-register your fingerprint in the app settings\n\nAlso, if you need immediate access to your funds, remember you can:\n- Use the physical card at ATMs or stores\n- Log in via their website on a computer\n- Set up direct deposit to your personal bank account to avoid the Money Network system entirely for future payments\n\nHope this helps!

This is incredibly helpful and explains WHY it's happening which makes me feel less crazy! I'm definitely going to follow these steps exactly. And you're right about direct deposit - I've been meaning to set that up to avoid dealing with Money Network entirely. Thank you for such a thorough explanation!

If you're having trouble with Money Network, it might be time to just call EDD directly to see if there are issues with your card or if they can help troubleshoot. I know getting through to EDD is practically impossible though. I recently discovered this service called Claimyr that can connect you to an EDD agent without the endless busy signals and hangups. I was skeptical but it actually worked for me last week. You can check it out at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km\n\nMight be worth it just to get someone at EDD to check if there's something wrong with your card account that's causing the app issues.

I hadn't thought about contacting EDD directly about this - I assumed it was just an app problem. But you're right, there could be something wrong with my actual account. I'll check out that service if I can't get this resolved in the next day or two. Thanks for the suggestion!

Has anyone actually used this Claimyr thing? Seems kinda sketchy to pay for something that should be free...

I used it when my payments were stuck pending for 3 weeks. Got through to an actual EDD rep in about 20 minutes instead of calling for days with no answer. Not sketchy at all - they just have a system that keeps redialing until there's an open line. Totally worth it when you're desperate.

GUYS I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!!!! The fingerprint loop happens when the app is trying to update itself but can't for some reason. If you go to your app store (Google Play or Apple) and manually check for Money Network app updates, install any updates there, THEN try logging in, it fixed it instantly for me! No more fingerprint loop! Try it and let me know if it works for anyone else!!!

OMG IT WORKED!!!! There was an update waiting that hadn't automatically installed. After updating, I got in on the first try! You're a lifesaver - I've been struggling with this for days. THANK YOU!!

This is actually a great point that I overlooked in my earlier advice. App updates can definitely cause authentication issues, especially with biometric security features. Glad to hear you found a solution!

The REAL solution is to avoid the Money Network card entirely. As soon as I switched to direct deposit for my EDD payments, all these headaches disappeared. The app is garbage, their customer service is garbage, and the whole system is designed to make Bank of America money off our unemployment benefits. Set up direct deposit ASAP and you'll never deal with this again!

I've been having the exact same fingerprint loop issue for weeks! Reading through all these solutions, I'm going to try the app update fix first since that seems to have worked for several people. If that doesn't work, I'll go through the full troubleshooting steps that Natasha outlined. It's so frustrating that we have to become tech support experts just to access our own benefits. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - at least now I know I'm not going crazy and there are actual solutions to try!

•Same here! I just joined this community because I've been dealing with this exact issue for over a month. It's reassuring to see so many people have found solutions. I'm definitely going to try checking for app updates first - that seems like the quickest fix. If that doesn't work, I'll work my way through all the other suggestions. It's ridiculous that accessing our benefits requires this much troubleshooting, but I'm grateful everyone here is sharing what actually works!
