Money Network card login completely freezes - not working at all in 2025

Anyone else struggling with the Money Network card portal this week? It's driving me INSANE. I enter my username and password correctly, hit the sign in button, and the page just sits there frozen - nothing loads, no error message, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried on Chrome, Firefox, and even Safari (ugh). My benefit payment of $650 hit my account 2 days ago according to the EDD claim history, but I can't access it! And don't get me started on their Face ID feature - works maybe 40% of the time, then randomly stops recognizing me. Called the number on the back of the card twice and got disconnected both times after waiting 45+ minutes. I'm about ready to switch to direct deposit, but I need to access my funds FIRST. Has EDD changed something with their payment system recently?

Same exact issue here! Been trying since Tuesday to log in and nothing happens when I click the button. The Money Network site has been glitchy since they did that system update around March 15th. I noticed if you try super early in the morning (like 5-6am) sometimes it works. Seems like their servers get overloaded during normal hours. The mobile app is completely useless too - crashes every time I try to check my balance.

Thanks for the tip about trying early morning! I'll set an alarm for tomorrow and see if that works. Did you manage to get through to anyone on their customer service line?

mine works fine lol maybe ur cookies r bad or somethin try incognito

I don't think it's a cookie issue. I've had the same problem and tried incognito, different browsers, cleared cache, everything. Money Network's system is just garbage. They probably have too many users and not enough server capacity. Classic EDD contractor problems!

This is a known issue with the Money Network portal that started after their March system update. Here's what to do:\n\n1) Try accessing between 5:00-7:00 AM or 10:00-11:00 PM when server traffic is lowest\n2) If you need immediate access, call 1-866-320-8699 and use the automated system to check balance\n3) Set up direct deposit for future payments through your UI Online account\n\nFor the Face ID issue: Delete the app, restart your phone, then reinstall. You'll need to set up Face ID again, but it usually resolves the recognition problems.\n\nMoney Network and EDD are aware of the login issues and supposedly working on a fix, but I'd recommend switching to direct deposit anyway - much more reliable.

Thank you SO much for this detailed info! I was able to check my balance through the automated system. Still couldn't log in this morning at 6am though. I'm definitely switching to direct deposit as soon as I can access my account again.

Three weeks?! That's ridiculous. Has anyone tried contacting EDD directly about these Money Network issues? I wonder if enough people complain they might actually do something about it.

Having the same issue with Money Network, but I found a way to reach an actual human at EDD who helped me. After trying for days to get through on the regular line, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to connect with an EDD agent. They have this system that holds your place in line and calls you when an agent is available. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km\n\nThe EDD rep confirmed they're aware of the Money Network issues and helped me switch to direct deposit for future payments. They also filed a ticket about my current payment that I can't access. Worth it after wasting hours trying to get through on my own!

It definitely worked for me! Was skeptical at first too, but after trying to get through to EDD myself for 3 days straight, I was desperate. Got connected to an agent within 40 minutes.

UPDATE: Just tried logging in at 5:30am and it WORKED! I was able to transfer my money to my bank account. The website is painfully slow, but at least it's functional. Just set up direct deposit for future payments too - done with Money Network forever!

THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE! I'll definitely try again tomorrow that early. So relieved to hear it eventually worked for you. Did you have any issues setting up the direct deposit? Or was that part smooth at least?

Setting up direct deposit was actually pretty simple! Just go to your UI Online account (not Money Network), go to Payment Methods, and select

This isn't just a random glitch - Money Network has had MAJOR security breaches recently that they're not being transparent about. My friend works in cybersecurity and said several prepaid card systems got hit with attacks in March. That's probably why everything is so messed up right now. They're scrambling to patch security holes while pretending it's just

OMG that is TERRIFYING!!! do u think our personal info is stolen???? should i be freezing my credit?? this is why i HATE dealing with edd everything is always a disaster!!

I can't say for sure about data being stolen, but it never hurts to monitor your credit just in case. These prepaid card systems often have weaker security than major banks. Another reason direct deposit is safer.

I had this exact problem last month. The workaround I found was using the Money Network mobile app instead of the website, but you need to download the latest version. The website interface has been broken since they

Thanks for the tips! I tried the mobile app earlier but it kept crashing. I'll check if there's an update available and try again. Really appreciate everyone's suggestions here!

I've been having the same login issues since last week! What's really frustrating is that I can see my payment posted in my EDD account, but Money Network won't let me access it. I tried the early morning login suggestion and it worked once at 5:45am, but then failed again the next day. The inconsistency is maddening! Has anyone had luck with their customer service chat feature, or is that broken too? I'm definitely going to switch to direct deposit after this mess gets resolved.

@Isabella Costa I tried their chat feature yesterday and it was completely useless - just kept giving me generic troubleshooting steps that didn t'work. The chat bot couldn t'connect me to a human either. Your experience with the early morning login sounds exactly like what others are reporting - it s'so random whether it works or not! I m'new to this whole EDD system and honestly shocked at how unreliable everything is. At least we know direct deposit is the way to go once we can finally access our accounts to set it up.

I'm dealing with this same nightmare! Been locked out of Money Network for almost a week now. What's really frustrating is that I called EDD directly and they basically said "it's not our problem, contact Money Network" - but Money Network just keeps you on hold forever or disconnects you. The early morning trick worked for me ONCE on Thursday around 5:20am, but I've tried every morning since and nothing. I managed to check my balance through the automated phone system like someone mentioned, but I can't actually transfer or spend the money. This whole system is beyond broken and it's affecting real people who need access to their benefits! I'm going to try that Claimyr service someone mentioned because I'm desperate at this point.

@GalaxyGlider I feel your frustration completely! I'm new to unemployment benefits and honestly had no idea it would be this difficult just to access money that's rightfully mine. The fact that EDD and Money Network are pointing fingers at each other while we can't pay our bills is infuriating. I tried the Claimyr service yesterday after seeing it mentioned here and actually got connected to an EDD rep in about 30 minutes - way better than the 2+ hours I wasted trying their regular phone line. The agent helped me start the direct deposit setup process, though she said it takes 1-2 weeks to take effect for new payments. For accessing current funds stuck in Money Network, she basically confirmed what we already know - their system is having major issues and there's no timeline for when it'll be fixed. The automated phone balance check at least lets us know the money is there, but yeah, can't actually use it. This whole experience has been eye-opening about how unreliable these government contractor systems are!
