Weekly UI claim keeps getting declined after fixes - help!

Hey everyone, I'm having a really frustrating issue with my weekly unemployment claim. I've been trying to file it, but it keeps getting declined even after I've fixed everything they asked me to. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm at my wits' end here and could really use some advice on what to do next.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar a few months ago. Have you received any specific notices or letters from the unemployment office explaining why your claim is being declined? Sometimes they don't make it super clear what the actual problem is.

Thanks for responding! No, I haven't gotten any detailed explanations. Just generic 'claim declined' messages. It's so frustrating 😤

That sucks! Might be worth calling them directly to get more info. Be prepared to wait on hold for ages tho 🙄

Pro tip: take screenshots of everything when you file. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with these clowns 🤡

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that was flagging my claim incorrectly. It took forever to get it sorted out, but persistence is key. Keep calling and don't give up!

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through or at least get you in touch with someone who can actually help.

I hadn't thought of that! Thats a great idea, thanks!

This 👆 It's amazing how quickly things can get resolved when a politician's office gets involved.

Okay, so here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your information: Make sure every single detail on your claim is 100% accurate. Even small errors can cause rejections. 2. Review your work search requirements: Ensure you're meeting all the criteria for job searches each week. 3. Check your monetary eligibility: Sometimes claims get denied if you haven't earned enough in your base period. 4. Look for identity verification issues: Some states are cracking down on fraud and may require additional proof of identity. 5. Call the unemployment office: Yes, it's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers. Be prepared with all your info and claim numbers. 6. Consider filing an appeal: If you believe your claim was wrongly denied, you have the right to appeal the decision. 7. Document everything: Keep a record of all your communications, claim attempts, and any responses you receive. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely go through this checklist and see if I can spot the issue.

idk if this helps, but I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/MCgaMJPY8Us

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

How does it work exactly? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

0 coins

Pretty much. They have some tech that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person answers, it calls you. Beats sitting on hold all day!

have you checked your spam folder? sometimes important emails from UI end up there. learned that one the hard way 🤦‍♂️

Preach! 🙌 It's like they want us to give up sometimes.
