NY unemployment sent confusing deadline dates for Docusign form - need help ASAP

Same thing happened to me but with different dates! The email said January 15th but then I get a text message saying December 20th. I called like 50 times trying to get someone on the phone to clarify. Always busy signal or disconnected. I ended up just submitting everything ASAP to be safe. My friend works for NY unemployment (don't come for me lol) and she says their internal systems don't talk to each other. The email system is automated and follows one schedule while the mail system follows another. The physical letters are usually the most up-to-date information.

Have you checked your online account dashboard? Sometimes the most accurate deadline is shown there. The NY unemployment website is garbage but occasionally it has the right info when emails/mail are wrong.

I'm currently in the middle of the Ninth Circle of NY Unemployment Hell™ and my only advice is CALL THEM NOW. Don't wait, don't email, CALL. And keep calling until you get through to a human who can tell you the real deadline. Everything else is just guesswork.

ok so weird suggestion but hear me out - I started FAXING all my documents to them (yes fax still exists) in addition to submitting electronically and my problems with "missing" deadlines stopped. Old school tech for an old school broken system I guess?
