Anyone receive NY unemployment recovery fund docusign yet? Second email missing
I got the first docusign from NY unemployment about 3 weeks ago regarding the recovery money they're distributing in 2025. Was told there would be a second document coming within 10-14 days, but haven't received anything yet. Has anyone actually gotten the second docusign or ANY follow-up email about the recovery fund disbursement? Starting to wonder if I missed something or if there's a delay in the system. My neighbor said she got both emails already, so now I'm worried.

•Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Did your first email mention anything about what to do if the second one doesn't arrive?

I received both DocuSign emails. The second one came exactly 12 days after the first. You should check your spam folder first - mine went there. Also make sure your account information is up to date in the system. If it's been more than 14 business days, I'd recommend calling to verify they have your correct email address. The second DocuSign contains the actual fund distribution agreement and tax information forms that need to be completed for the recovery payments to be processed.

•Thanks for the info! I've checked spam and everything looks good there. I guess I need to call them. Any tips for actually getting through? Last time I tried it took me 3 days of calling.

•At least you got something! Did you have to wait on hold forever when you called?

I had the exact same issue last week. After waiting for 3 weeks with no second DocuSign, I finally got through to NYSDOL. Turns out there was a processing delay for claims filed between January-March 2025. The agent said they're sending second DocuSigns in batches, and some people won't receive theirs until next month. If you want to check your status, I'd recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent without the endless busy signals. They got me connected in about 20 minutes when I'd been trying for days. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE The agent confirmed my email was correct in their system and escalated my case. Got the second DocuSign two days later.

•Thanks for the suggestion! Never heard of Claimyr before but sounds way better than spending all day hitting redial. I'll check out the video and give it a try tomorrow.

•Not everyone is getting the recovery fund at the same time. There's a schedule based on your claim date and benefit amount. I work with these cases, and I can tell you the second DocuSign emails are going out in phases through July 2025. If you call, make sure to ask which distribution phase you're in - that will tell you when to expect the email.

Just FYI - my friend told me that if you don't receive the second docusign within 21 days (not 14!), you're supposed to submit a request through your online account message center. There's apparently a specific form code you need to use: RF-2025-DR. I haven't tried it myself since I just hit day 15, but thought it might help someone here.

•This is partially correct, but the form code actually changed last month. It's now RF-2025-DS (the 'S' stands for second document). Using the old code can actually delay your request further because it gets routed to the wrong department.

i tried that claimyr thing someone mentioned after 2 weeks of calling myself and it ACTUALLY WORKED!!! got thru to someone who found out my email had a typo in it. they fixed it and i got my 2nd docusign THE NEXT DAY. worth every penny not to deal with busy signals anymore

Update: I tried the Claimyr service this morning and got through to NYSDOL in about 30 minutes! The agent found that my account had a processing hold on it for "verification review" which is why I never got the second DocuSign. She removed the hold and said I should receive the email within 48 hours. Just wanted to update in case anyone else has the same problem. Will post again when/if I actually get the document.

•Glad you got it sorted out! The verification review hold is actually quite common with the recovery fund distribution. It's an automated flag that sometimes gets triggered when there were any changes to your claim during the original benefit period. Once removed, the DocuSign usually comes through quickly.

•Thanks for sharing your timeline! That's helpful to know what to expect. Did they send you any kind of notification when the payment was coming, or did it just show up?

FINAL UPDATE: Got my second DocuSign this morning! Filled it out right away. For anyone else waiting, definitely don't just sit around like I did. Either try calling (good luck) or use a service to get through. Turns out my issue was simple to fix but would have never been resolved if I hadn't spoken to someone directly. The agent said to expect payment within 14 business days after submitting the second form.

•Thanks for coming back to update! Did they tell you if there will be another email confirming they received your second DocuSign? I submitted mine yesterday but haven't heard anything back.

•They said I should get a confirmation email within 24-48 hours, and then nothing until the payment processes. I'll post again when I get the money!
