NY unemployment sent me a text about DocuSign in February but still nothing - did they forget me?
So I received a text message back in February from NY unemployment saying that I would be receiving a DocuSign email to verify some information for my claim. They said it would arrive within 72 hours but here we are in April and I still havent gotten anything. I've tried calling multiple times but can never get through to an actual person. I've also sent several emails through the message portal on the website but nothing back except automated responses. My benefits are on hold until this verification is complete but I'm starting to think they just forgot about my case completely. Has anyone else experienced this long of a delay? I'm worried I might need to start the whole process over again which would be a nightmare considering I filed back in December.

•Already checked spam, promotions, junk, everything. Nothing there at all. Did you do anything special to finally get yours?

After weeks of frustration trying to reach someone at NY unemployment, I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually connects you with a real agent. They called on my behalf and I got a callback with a live person within hours. Talking to the agent got my benefits unlocked so fast after being stuck for months! They resent my DocuSign immediately and I got paid three days later. Check out this video that explains how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE - it was the only way I could finally talk to someone who could help.

•sounds sketchy af... does this actually work? or just another scam preying on desperate people?

•Not sketchy at all! They just call and wait on hold for you, then connect you when a real person answers. Saved me hours of frustration and my claim got fixed on the spot.

•honestly whatever it costs was worth every penny to finally get my benefits flowing again. i was missing thousands in payments that i got within days of talking to someone.

They're probably backed up again. I had to wait almost 2 months for my docusign to come through. The system is a mess right now with all the identity verification stuff going on. Keep trying to call early in the morning like right when they open at 8am.

Look at your My Messages section on the website. Sometimes they dont send the DocuSign via email but through the portal instead. That happened to me and I almost missed the deadline because I was only checking my email.

•Thanks for the tip! I just checked and there's nothing there either. It's like they sent the text but never followed through with anything else.

•Hmm thats weird. You might need to call and specifically ask them to resend it. Sometimes the system glitches and they need to manually trigger it again.

You need to be SUPER PERSISTENT with ny unemployment. I literaly set an alarm for 7:55am every day and started calling right at 8am for a week straight. Finaly got through on day 5 and they fixed it on the spot. The trick is to press 1-9-2-1 in the menu options to get to ID verification issues faster.

•Thanks for the tip about the menu options. I'll try this approach starting tomorrow morning!

This is happening to EVERYONE right now. NY unemployment is completely overwhelmed with fraud cases so theyre making everyone verify identity but they dont have enough staff to process everything. I waited 3 months for my docusign and then another month after submitting before my claim started paying again. It's ridiculous.

Here's what worked for me after dealing with the exact same problem for MONTHS with the NY unemployment system: First, you need to understand they're completely overwhelmed and disorganized. Many DocuSign requests get lost in their system or never actually get sent even though they claim they did. Here's my step-by-step approach that FINALLY worked: 1. Stop wasting time with emails - they rarely get meaningful responses 2. Calling the regular line is almost impossible to get through. I tried for weeks with no success. 3. I used Claimyr.com which essentially waits on hold for you and calls you when an agent is ready. This was a game-changer - finally got someone on the phone after weeks of trying. 4. When I finally spoke to someone, I asked them to check if my DocuSign was actually generated in their system. Turns out mine never was, despite the text! 5. They manually triggered the DocuSign while I was on the phone and I received it within minutes. 6. After submitting, I called again using the same method to confirm they received it. From personal experience and talking with others, about 20% of people who get the initial text message never actually receive the DocuSign unless they call and have an agent manually push it through. Don't wait - be proactive! The most important thing is getting a live person on the phone who can actually look at your specific case. Good luck!

Check ur email address on file! My friend had the wrong email in the system (mistyped) and thats why she nevr got the docusign. Log into ur account and make sure all ur info is correct.

•Just double checked and the email is definitely correct. I've gotten other emails from them before, just not this DocuSign one.

I was in this EXACT situation last month! Text but no docusign for WEEKS. Turns out they had flagged my account for "manual review" which meant it was sitting in some agent's backlog. I only found this out when I finally reached an agent.

•How did you finally reach an agent? I'm desperate at this point.

•I used claimyr.com after someone recommended it here. Got connected to an agent within an hour. They fixed it right away once I actually talked to someone.

its wild how they expect us to just wait months with no money while they figure out their broken system. people got bills to pay! i'm still waiting on back pay from 3 months ago 🤬

contact your state assembly person! I was in the same boat and my state rep got it fixed in 2 days after i was waiting for months. they have direct contacts at unemployment who can push these things through faster.

•This 👆 State reps can help but honestly it's still hit or miss. Mine tried but said they were overwhelmed with similar requests.

KEEP CALLING!! Dont give up. I had to call 47 times before I got through but when I did they fixed it right away. Be ready with your claim ID and the date you received the text message. Sometimes they need to manually reset something on their end.

The whole NY unemployment system is such a joke. They're still using technology from like 1995 and expect it to handle modern problems. I had to verify my identity THREE separate times and each time they claimed they never received my documents even tho I had confirmation numbers.

•for real tho. my uncle works in IT and says their entire system is held together with duct tape and prayers at this point 💀

did u try using a different email address? sometimes their system blocks certain email domains. give them a gmail or yahoo address if you're using something else. worked for me.
