Got a NY unemployment text in November but still no DocuSign email - did they forget me?

I received a text from NY unemployment back in November 2025 saying I need to complete some DocuSign forms for my claim, but I still haven't gotten any email with the actual DocuSign. It's been almost 3 weeks now! I checked my spam folder like 20 times, nothing there. Called the unemployment office but can't get through to a real person. Are they just forgetting about some people?? Anyone else waiting this long for DocuSign forms after getting the text? Should I just keep waiting or is there something else I should do?

Double checked my email in my account and it's definitely correct. I'm starting to think my claim is just stuck in some kind of limbo... 😩

I had the EXACT same problem last month!!! The text message system and the DocuSign system are NOT synced properly. The NYSDOL is sending out automatic texts but then the DocuSign emails are getting queued in some backlogged system. When I called (took me 3 days of trying), they said they're having technical issues with the transition to their new processing system. The rep manually triggered my DocuSign email and I got it within an hour.

That's exactly what I was afraid of! How did you finally get through to someone? I've been calling every day at different times and it's always just the automated system.

This is becoming a common issue with the new ID verification system NYSDOL implemented in October 2025. The texts are automatically generated when your claim requires additional verification, but the DocuSign emails are sent through a separate system that's experiencing delays. You have a few options: 1. Keep trying to call, but use the prompt for "problems with online account access" rather than "claim issues" as it routes to a different department with shorter wait times 2. Send a secure message through your NY.gov account specifically mentioning "DocuSign not received after text notification" 3. If your claim is time-sensitive, you can visit a career center in person (bring ID and your claim information) Don't worry, they haven't forgotten you, but you do need to be proactive to get this resolved.

You don't even need to try all this!! Just check your junk mail folder! Mine was there the whole time and I was freaking out for nothing lolol

I went through this same problem and wasted two weeks trying to get through on the phone. Finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. They have this service where they navigate the phone system for you and call you back when they have an agent on the line. The agent manually sent my DocuSign and I had it within an hour. Here's a video of how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE Definitely worth it since my benefits were on hold until I completed those forms. Good luck!

Is anyone else FURIOUS about how broken this system is?!?! I'm in the EXACT same situation - text received Nov 7, NO DocuSign email ANYWHERE in my inbox! It's UNACCEPTABLE that we have to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to!!! I've called 27 TIMES in the past week and can't get past the automated system. WHY do we pay taxes if this is how they treat us when we need help?!

The entire system was supposedly "upgraded" in October, but it's actually worse than before. I heard from someone who works there that they're severely understaffed and the new software has bugs they're still working out. Not that it makes it any better for us waiting for benefits...

Update: Finally got through to someone! For anyone with the same problem - I used the tip about selecting the "online account access issues" option instead of "claim questions" and only waited about 20 minutes. The rep confirmed there was a glitch with the DocuSign system and manually triggered mine. Just got the email 10 minutes ago! The rep said they're aware of the issue and working on it, but there's no automatic fix, so you HAVE to call if you're waiting more than 3-4 days after getting the text.

That's accurate. The backlog started after their October 15th system update and has been growing. From what I understand, they're processing them in batches by claim date, but anyone who needs their DocuSign urgently should definitely call in to have it manually triggered rather than waiting.

Not sure if this helps, but when I FINALLY got through to someone after trying that Claimyr service, the agent told me they're prioritizing DocuSign emails for people who call in because there's a backlog of over 15,000 waiting to be sent automatically. So if you just wait, you might be waiting a LONG time. Just something to keep in mind if your benefits are on hold until you complete those forms.
