How long after ID.me verification does NY unemployment actually process your claim?

Oh wow, 5 weeks?? That's crazy long! Have you tried emailing them or reaching out on social media? I'm getting desperate here.

Tried everything! Emails, Twitter, Facebook. They just give generic responses like "we're experiencing high volume" blah blah. Its like talking to a robot 🤖

No catch - they just automate the calling and waiting on hold part. When a real person answers, they connect you. Worked for me when nothing else did. My claim was stuck for almost a month after ID.me verification and got fixed right after I talked to someone.

It's not a hack, they literally just call and wait on hold FOR you. Then when a human picks up, your phone rings and you talk directly to the agent. Seriously saved my sanity. I was about to throw my phone after trying to get through for 3 weeks.

Took about 3 hours for me but way better than wasting a whole day on hold yourself. When my phone rang and it was actually a real NYSDOL person I almost fell out of my chair lol

Just call their office and explain the situation. They have special contacts at unemployment. Had to fill out a form giving them permission to inquire about my case, but after that they got things moving!

This worked for me too! My assemblyman's office was super helpful. But still took like 2 more weeks after they intervened.

THIS!!! This is exactly what I suspected. There's some kind of glitch in their system cause no way should we be waiting weeks/months for them to verify something that ID.me already verified!

can confirm this is 100% accurate. Same thing happened to me. My ID.me verification was just sitting there completed but NYSDOL never actually looked at it until I got someone on the phone.

I heard they actually laid off a bunch of workers after the pandemic claims surge died down. So now they're understaffed again.

It's a service that calls unemployment for you and waits on hold. Then when they get a human, they call your phone so you can talk to the agent. Beats calling 50 times a day and getting nowhere.

Just tried this after seeing multiple people mention it. Got connected to an agent after about 2.5 hours! They confirmed my ID verification was completed but not processed yet. They're expediting it now.
