NYDOL unemployment claim delayed with no notices - what's going on?

Ugh, welcome to the club 🙄 I've been waiting for WEEKS with no update. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous!

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you can get more info if you actually talk to a human.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

What you can do: • Double-check all your info in your online account • Upload any additional documents that might help your case • Keep certifying weekly, even if you haven't received benefits yet • Try contacting your local state representative - they can sometimes help • Keep a record of all your attempts to contact NYDOL Hang in there, OP. have u checked ur spam folder? sometimes important emails from NYDOL end up there 🤷‍♂️

I heard they're updating the system next month. Might cause more delays but hopefully it'll make things faster in the long run.

This is why we need UBI. The whole unemployment system is a joke.

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes they respond faster there.
