Can't claim UI benefits - recorded message says to call. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble claiming my unemployment benefits. The recorded message told me I need to call since I couldn't claim on Sunday. Has anyone else run into this issue? What should I do next?

Ugh, I've been there. The system is so frustrating! Have you tried calling early in the morning? Sometimes that works better.

•Early morning calls are hit or miss. I've had better luck calling right before they close tbh

•Agreed! I always get through faster in the afternoon. Morning is when everyone tries to call 🙄

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a glitch in the system that Sunday. Keep trying to claim online, and if it doesn't work, you'll have to bite the bullet and call them. Prepare for a loooong wait time tho 😫

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? No way, that's a scam

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can confirm, I used it last week. Expensive but beats sitting on hold all day 🤷♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Try claiming online again. Sometimes the system glitches on Sundays. 2. If that doesn't work, call first thing Monday morning (like 7:55 AM). 3. Have all your info ready - SSN, claim ID, work history, etc. 4. Be patient and polite with the rep - they're dealing with a lot rn. 5. If you can't get through, keep trying throughout the week. 6. As a last resort, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to get through. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you'll get your benefits eventually. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every attempt to claim. It might come in handy later.

•Great tips! I'd also suggest checking their social media for any system updates or outages.
