I had similar issues getting through to NYS Department of Labor when my payments were delayed. What finally worked was using Claimyr to get connected to an actual agent. They have this system that calls and waits in the queue for you - check out claimyr.com and they have a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI. The agent was able to see exactly where my payment was in the system and why there was a delay.
Wait I'm confused - I thought you automatically get disqualified if you quit? My friend told me you can only get unemployment if you get fired or laid off through no fault of your own.
Document EVERYTHING before you quit. Screenshots of abusive messages, witness statements if coworkers saw the harassment, photos of safety issues. The more evidence you have, the better your chances. Also make sure you've actually tried to address the issues through proper channels first - that's usually required to show good cause.
I had trouble getting through to NYS Department of Labor to ask about my benefit calculation and someone recommended checking out claimyr.com - they help you actually reach an agent by phone. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. I was able to get my questions answered about the funding and how my benefit amount was calculated.
Had a really hard time getting through to NYS Department of Labor on the phone when I had questions about my claim timing. Kept getting busy signals or getting hung up on after waiting forever. Finally found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me get connected to an actual agent. They have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI. Saved me hours of frustration trying to get my questions answered about filing deadlines and claim status.

•It's actually pretty common with the my.ny.gov system. Could be anything from a browser issue, using a VPN, or even just logging in from a different device than usual. The security system is very sensitive.

Oh no this is giving me anxiety! I hope this doesn't happen to me. What if I can't file my weekly claim on time? Will they stop my benefits?? I depend on these payments to pay rent.

•Don't panic! As long as you contact them and explain the account was locked, they can usually backdate your weekly claim. Just document when you tried to file and when the account got locked.
