Here's what you can do: 1. Try calling the unemployment office early in the morning, right when they open. Keep redialing if you get a busy signal. 2. Check if your local library or community center has public computers you can use. 3. Ask a friend or family member if you can borrow their device to file your claim. 4. Some unemployment offices have physical locations where you can file in person. Look up if there's one near you. 5. If all else fails, you might need to get your phone fixed or replaced ASAP. Some repair shops offer same-day service. Remember to explain your situation to the unemployment office. They might be able to make accommodations or extend deadlines if you're having technical difficulties. Good luck!
Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! This is really helpful 💯
Great advice! Saving this for future reference
anyone else notice the system always seems to crash right when you need it most? 🤔 conspiracy theory: they do it on purpose to reduce payouts
Maybe, but you gotta admit the timing is sus af 👀
Hey OP, when did you first file your claim? There might be different solutions depending on how long it's been pending.
I filed about 6 weeks ago. Been stuck in pending limbo ever since 😩
Hey, quick question - when did you first file your claim? That might affect how you need to approach this.
I filed about 3 weeks ago. Does that change things?
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, for newer claims they sometimes have a different process. Might be worth checking their website for any special instructions for recent filers.
Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.
idk if this helps but i had issues verifying my identity online and ended up having to go to the unemployment office in person. it sucked waiting in line but at least i got it sorted
That's good to know, thanks! How long was the wait at the office?
ngl it was pretty bad. got there when they opened and still waited like 3 hours. bring a book or sumthin lol

I swear the NYSDOL website was coded by monkeys. It's always glitching out or showing contradictory info. Hang in there OP, and definitely try to talk to a human ASAP.

Have you checked your email? Sometimes they send important updates there instead of showing them on the website. Also, make sure to check your spam folder!
