NYSDOL claim stuck pending, can't verify weekly - system shows no info
My unemployment claim is still pending and I'm supposed to keep verifying every week, but the system won't let me. Yesterday it said it was still pending, but today it says there's no information. I verified on March 8 when they sent a verification method. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. The NYSDOL system is such a mess rn. Here's what I did: 1. Document everything! Save screenshots of error messages. 2. Keep trying to verify daily, even if it doesn't work. 3. Call them ASAP. Be prepared to wait on hold forever. 4. Explain the timeline clearly: when you applied, verified, and when you saw different messages. 5. Ask them to check if there's a glitch in your account. 6. Request a callback if you can't get through. Good luck! The system is overwhelmed, but keep at it. 💪

•This is solid advice. I'd add: check your spam folder for emails from NYSDOL. Sometimes important stuff ends up there.

•Yeah, calling is a nightmare. I actually found a workaround! There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then forwards the call to you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•$20 to get thru? sounds like a scam tbh

•I thought so too at first, but it's legit. They only charge if they actually connect you. Saved me days of stress.

I had a similar issue. Turns out there was a problem with my identity verification. Check if you need to upload any additional documents. It's buried in the system, but look for a section about identity or document verification.

•Thanks, I'll def check that out. Where exactly did you find the identity verification section?

•It's under 'My Online Forms' I think. If not there, try 'Additional Information Needed' or something similar. The UI is not great, you might have to click around a bit.

have you tried contacting your local state representative? sometimes they can help push things through faster

•This! My cousin did this and got her issue resolved in like 2 days after weeks of nothing

Oof, sounds rough buddy. The unemployment system is more broken than my ex's promises 😂 But for real, keep documenting everything and don't give up. You'll get through eventually!

PSA: If anyone else is struggling to get through on the phone, I used this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com). It's a calling tool that waits on hold for you and then connects you when an agent is available. Costs $20 but saved me hours of hold time. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•How does it work exactly? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

•Yeah, basically. They use some tech to navigate the phone menu and then wait on hold. When a real person picks up, they forward the call to you. It's pretty slick.

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's not a scam?

•Nah, it's legit. They don't ask for any personal info beyond your phone number. And they only charge if they actually connect you with an agent. Worked great for me!

I swear the NYSDOL website was coded by monkeys. It's always glitching out or showing contradictory info. Hang in there OP, and definitely try to talk to a human ASAP.

Have you checked your email? Sometimes they send important updates there instead of showing them on the website. Also, make sure to check your spam folder!
