DETR claim restart held up after winning appeal - help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a frustrating situation with my unemployment claim. I won an appeal for my work dismissal verification, but now my claim restart is being held up. The appeal decision was final on 09/09, all back pay was released, but I'm still having issues restarting my claim. I keep filing new claims every week, but nothing's moving forward. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Ugh, DETR is such a nightmare! I've been in a similar situation. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes you need to bug them constantly to get anything done.

I've been trying to call, but it's impossible to get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

30 minutes? Luky you! I was on hold for 3 hours last week 😭

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Mc9FNfOF_yY

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than trying to call yourself!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your documents: appeal decision, claim numbers, etc. 2. Call DETR and explain your situation clearly 3. Ask specifically why your claim restart is delayed despite winning the appeal 4. Request a supervisor if the agent can't help 5. Keep detailed notes of every call, including agent names and call reference numbers 6. If calling doesn't work, try reaching out to your state representative 7. Continue filing weekly claims no matter what Stay persistent! The system is broken, but you gotta keep pushing.

I swear, dealing with DETR is like playing a game where the rules keep changing and nobody tells you 🤡 Hang in there, OP!

More like a game where there ARE no rules and everyones just making it up as they go along 🙄

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system that wasn't recognizing my appeal decision. Took forever to fix, but keep pushing!

Oh no, I hope that's not what's happening to me. How long did it take to resolve?

It took about 3 weeks of constant calling and complaining. But I got it fixed eventually!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's additional info or required actions there that they don't tell you about.

2 months?! That's insane. We need to organize and demand better service from DETR.

PROTIP: If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing them. I got a response within a week when I did that.
