EDD claim stuck in limbo for weeks - need advice!

Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. My unemployment claim has been stuck in limbo for weeks and I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get it moving again?

I found a way to solve stuck unemployment claim issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl9mUTx3lZ4

Ugh, I feel your pain. My claim was stuck for over a month. Have you tried calling the EDD? It's a nightmare, but sometimes that's the only way to get things moving.

I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

Check your online account for any pending tasks or required documents. Sometimes they need additional info but don't notify you properly.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to make a phone call? That's ridiculous!

I know it sounds crazy, but after weeks of trying to get through, it was worth it for me. Got my issue resolved in one call.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about 2 hours, but I just went about my day and got a call when an agent was ready. Way better than being stuck to my phone all day.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push claims through faster.

I didn't even know that was an option. How do I find my assembly member?

Just google '[your city] assembly member' and you should find their contact info. Good luck!

Guys, I've been dealing with EDD for months now and I've learned a few things: 1. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 2. Keep all your documents organized and ready to go. 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If you get through to someone, be polite but firm. 5. Consider reaching out to your local representatives for help. 6. Join Facebook groups or forums for more support and tips. It's a broken system, but don't give up. You'll get your money eventually!

Anyone else notice that the EDD website is always 'under maintenance' when you need it most? 🙄

omg yes! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in and shut it down just to mess with me 😂

I heard they're updating the system soon. Maybe that'll fix some of these issues?

Yeah right, and pigs will fly. They've been saying that for years!

Let's hope so. The current system is clearly not working for anyone.

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of uploading them online? I've heard that sometimes works better.

Just wanted to say hang in there, OP. We're all in the same boat. This too shall pass. 💪
