EDD claim not approved, no payments received. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. My unemployment claim still isn't approved and I haven't received any payments. It's been weeks and I'm starting to worry. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their claim approval? Any advice on how to speed up the process or what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took forever to get my claim approved. Have you tried calling the unemployment office? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've been trying to call, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take for your claim to get approved?

•It took about 6 weeks for mine to finally go through. Keep trying to call tho, early in the morning seemed to work best for me. Good luck!

•6 weeks?! That's insane. The system is so broken 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•They don't guarantee it, but in my experience it worked great. You just put in your phone number, and they call you when they get a real person on the line. Saved me from listening to that awful hold music for hours lol

Have you checked your online account for any updates or messages? Sometimes they need additional info but don't always contact you directly about it.

I've been dealing with unemployment issues for months now, so I feel your frustration. Here's what I've learned: • Be persistent with calling. It sucks, but sometimes it's the only way. • Check your online account daily for updates or requests for information. • Make sure all your documentation is in order and easily accessible. • Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. • Join Facebook groups or other online communities for your state's unemployment. Sometimes you can get good tips or heads up about system issues. • Document everything. Keep a log of when you call, who you talk to, and what they say. • If you're really struggling financially, look into local food banks or assistance programs while you wait. Hang in there. I know it's tough, but keep at it. The system is overwhelmed right now, but your claim will get processed eventually.

•Thank you so much for this detailed response! This is really helpful. I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep, I hadn't thought of that.
