EDD Claim Stuck in 'Pending Processing' Since November - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a frustrating situation. My unemployment claim has been stuck in 'pending processing' since November. It's been months and I'm starting to worry. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to speed things up or get some answers?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last year. It took FOREVER to get my claim processed. Have you tried calling the EDD? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59 AM. It's still tough, but your chances are way better.

•Good advice! Also, try calling on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Mondays are usually swamped.

Check your online account for any pending tasks or requests for additional information. Sometimes they need more docs but don't notify you properly.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about 2 hours instead of days of trying.

•$20 tho? That's kinda steep when ur already broke from waiting on unemployment 😩

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Spent way more on gas driving to the EDD office and waiting all day just to be turned away.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through faster.

•I didn't even know that was an option! How do I find my assembly member?

•Just Google '[your city] assembly member' and you should find their contact info. Send them an email explaining your situation. They usually have staff dedicated to helping with EDD issues.

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting since October and still nothing. Starting to think they're doing this on purpose to save money 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they want us to give up and go away.

•Guys, let's not assume malice. The system is just overloaded and outdated. Still sucks tho.

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online account checks. 2. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important EDD emails end up there. 3. Make sure your identity verification is complete. This is a common holdup. 4. If you can't get through on the main line, try the technical support line and ask to be transferred. 5. Use social media. Sometimes tweeting at EDD or commenting on their Facebook posts can get attention. 6. Consider filing a complaint with the Department of Labor if it's been an excessive amount of time. 7. Join Facebook groups for unemployment support. There's often good, current info there. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but persistence usually pays off eventually.
